Impressive 1st week sales. You see guys? Sequels are SUPPOSED to sell better than their predecessors, not sell less and less by chunks with each iteration.
I really feel I got my money's worth this gen, consoles aren't cheap and so the longer a cycle last, the better.
I think both SONY and MicroSoft have done a fantastic job this gen overall, but of course there are a couple of changes I'd like to see next gen:
new ip's(microsoft),
cheaper launch prices (sony),
free online multiplayer(microsoft),
less casual focus (microsoft),
improved controllers(sony),
better ...

Why it is good to wait sometimes.
I don't mind passes for online multiplayer, but when you start locking away offline content you start messing with legitimate 1st time users who do not have access to the internet or psn/xbla. This promotes piracy or at least gives people a false sense of justification for it.
If they are going to do that then they should take points off every 360 game that has online since you have to pay for xbox live gold. In other words, quit being ridiculous.
PSN pass does not remove a single bit of enjoyment that I'm certain Uncharted 3 comes crammed with.
