So they finally realised that it doesn't make good business sense to reward one group and exclude the group that buys their product the most (pc not included)
It wasn't making alot of sense to me to give exclusivity to ps3 gamers when the game is going to be supported more by 360 owners anyway. If the game wasn't available for download then you could argue that blu-ray means more space for content but in this case it wouldn't matter.
All that hype.

The critics were right, the contenders were Dirt 3, GT5, Hot Pursuit and other games that have been available for the majority of 2011. Forza 4 wasn't even a contender for this year's award due to its release date being so close to the award ceremony. It will most likely be a contender next year.
Yeah sure, lets also forget that CoD, GTA and Halo also happen to be critically acclaimed as well. I know sales =/= quality but lets not pretend that sales = bad quality.

The Heist gets rated other similar games(shooters mostly), this is being rated against other games of its kind (sims pets, eyepet ect.) its a kids game, it is being rated as such.
A sequel selling higher than its predecessor should be the rule and not the exception. So far this year I can only name 3 exclusive sequels that have opened higher than their predecessors, inFAMOUS 2, Gears 3 and Forza 4. The rest are languishing under their older brothers' shadows. By week 8
inFAMOUS 2 was already trailing its predecessor though and that trend has continued.
I'd swap Batman with Uncharted 3.

530K first week is 70k more than the previous game. Plus it released on friday in EU so . . .
So far this year only TWO exclusive games have launched higher than their previous iteration. One of them is Forza 4. The other is already at 4.1 million. . .Gears of War 3

It's been great quantity wise, but the quality has been a bit lax.
Logic and common sense. Unless of course you're saying they planned this all along, lose subs at a steady pace and be forced to become f2p. In which case they succeeded beautifully.
