Are you sure without Sony that remake would be happening?
Until the advantage ms have over Sony are games nothing else will matter. If one year ahead start and launching a broken system to boost sale numbers didn't stop ps3 from outselling the Xbox 360 than gamepass won't be it

All I can say is remember the rumor about Sony buying out take two in cash acquisition? Both take two and Sony denied it right well it wasn't a rumor
Another thing remember the Sony world wide studios logo which leaked last year it had insomniac, Kojima and others on it and Sony denied it yet insomniac has been announced and others will follow with announcement of Ps5 at E3

no selling world wide and actually having an impact are 2 different things. for example it sells in japan but selling 1500 consoles vs 50k is a huge difference. at launch of ps4./xbox one console was available in 35 countries and the other in 14. world wide markets are different that's why nintendo is still held to such a great standard because gamers know they and sony are about quality

It doesn't matter bigger point is Sony is the reason we are getting this remake to begin with. Publishers sign these deals to get huge sum of money upfront to cover cost of development. Exclusives sell and FF7 remake is such a huge game that most who will want to play won't wait a year so Sony has done smart business wise. Exclusives sell consoles and if you can give consumers reason to buy your console in its last years that's potential new customers as Ps5 launches
