While Sony and Nintendo will focus on their markets and focus on 150 million potential gamers. Ms may find success may not but Sony and Nintendo have proven for decades if you focus on your core fanbase success can be had without chasing others
And just like ms their fanbase will praise them for forward thinking etc but end of the day ms...
I like Xbox. I bought original Xbox but ms lost its way. Games is what matters to gamers not services and countless sequels
All these studios they recently bought please get back to making AA and AAA story driven games(plus your GAAS type games since these games aren't going anywhere)

Easy money with very little cost in development. These micro transactions are generating hundreds of millions without requiring 200 million budget for a AAA open world games. Gaming will change for worse before there is a change of sort. Less games but more GAAS to generate money for years to come is the new trend in gaming. We even started to see micro transactions in single player games

If a game is coming out on og Xbox one than developers have to make sure it can run smoothly. And they have to make sure not to make that version look so much worse that no one will buy it so it's waste of resources
