Easy for you to say but many studios would happily come under a big publisher umbrella because they don't have to worry about funding and finding publishers willing to fund them. This is why so many take the deal. housemarque ceo himself said the studio was struggling and they out all their eggs in one basket to make AAA type game

Sure ruin pc gaming by offering more money to developers 88/12 is a FACT. So what if they made few games timed exclusives it's nothing new to business. Fact remains steam takes 30% and epic 12% and with recent announcement of MS also taking 12% on pc I believe epic did something good. Apple is as greedy as they come
I don't mind disabling trophies I could care less I want to have some fun I tried to use them with Red Dead redemption which went a step further instead of just disabling the trophies it won't even let you save your game progress if you are using cheat codes
It's like the game is going out of its way to make sure you don't have fun the way you want
If nothing else the least they're doing or asking to do is pay the developers more for their games by giving them a bigger share of the profit. I don't think any gamer should be against that. 30% is a lot and 12% isn't enough so there has to be middle ground. For bigger publishers and game selling millions that 30% really doesn't matter as much but for the smaller developer having to pay 30% is a lot

I don't think a lot because by now anybody who wanted to play GTA v probably did so by having it on epic game store Rockstar can make more money off the GTA online which is their bread and butter

Release the first game on ps4/ps5(maybe even as a free psn plus title to get the IP a lot of exposure) I truly believe SSOD would do a lot better on PlayStation because PlayStation gamers love those kind of games especially from insomniac. Is it just me or have sony's acquisition of insomniac turning out to be a steal for them. Such great talented studio that can work on multiple games at the same time

Honestly as more things become digital and these digital store fronts on consoles won't stay up forever I think game prices will only go up. Especially now that Sony made an announcement only to backtrack it's not if now it's when they close it(I can't imagine pss storefront staying up for another 5 years)

If you look at the call of duty games on PlayStation 3 they hold their value quite well some of them are actually quite expensive if you want the original case with the game manual and a good disc

Me too I bought a lot of PlayStation 3 games over time I have over 200 of them I can't imagine if I want to buy all of them and now it would cost double if not triple what I paid overtime

but you know what happens a lot of times these big greedy publishers will release their games and get a bigger share of the profit and still include microtransactions. So it's a win for the small guy and more greed for the big publishers

headline says PS3 games prices crashing down but those prices are still way above MSRP and in the $70-80 range. These prices in my opinion will never come down to where they were before sony announced they were shutting down PSN for ps3/vita. Because before that announcement you could have bought most of these games for under $40 (even less) and now they are $70 plus
I want a console that can play disks along with digital so my choice would be series x if and when I decide to buy one(will wait to see how ms handled it's exclusives if available on other platforms might skip)

Just because you don't use micro transaction doesn't mean it doesn't affect how developers make the game. Middle earth shadow for war developed with micro transaction in mind and once they removed it again became so much more fun and joy to play. Micro transaction ring with them extra grind
Yeah I don't think Sony would allow them for those games on switch. They do still own the IP's. On pc made sense cause they got all the potential sales from consoles plus sony has invested like half of billion in epic so allowing it on their store makes sense
They should have released a complete edition with all the content like past metro games
