No actually it may surprise you but a lot of gamers actually want to see more in depth gameplay. They don't just want to see CGI trailers for games which won't be releasing for years down the road this is a very bad trend(but Xbox has been doing the CGI thing for years now)
I rather have Nintendo directs/playstation updates where they may show less games but actual gameplay. But to each their own

Yeah you have to take into account they released games right before the acquisition by Microsoft and few of their studios are working on PS5 timed exclusives so we might be few years out

They have already said temper your expectations so I wouldn't go watch with really high hopes. Halo will be the showcase along with Forza and I am sure we will get an update/trailer maybe for starfield (if SF is a late 2022 title we may not get much)
And you do? War and battle has been over for a long time. When you get a year start on your competition and still ps3 outsells Xbox 360 that right there is war and battle won. But than ps4 took all of that market share back and that ended that battle and now with ps5 it's neither a war or battle Sony is competing with it's history more than Xbox or any other brand

Sure ps5 is the fastest selling console of all time but some people just can't accept facts and rather live on their own made up reality. if we have seen one thing it's that sony allows more creative freedom than anyone else. So if one company can control the IP itself and let the creative people do their thing it's sony. If they are funding it they will own it that's the policy. That's why sunset overdrive went to xbox because insomniac offered it it sony but wanted to keep the IP to themselves and sony said no(and now SSOD belongs to sony so it's kind of funny)

The way I see it is that even in this instance Sony will more than likely own the IP so they will have control over it. And that makes complete sense because they are the ones funding/taking the risk on a new IP. This is also smart on their part instead of their internal studios working on a FPS they can get some of the most talented people from the industry to make exclusive as FPS on PlayStation
