Well yes I agree I was generalizing, I don't think all kids here are that way, but I DO think most of them are treated this way or treat their parents that way, and I do think there's certainly family values that have been lost in this country.

Please, yeah lets embrace casual gaming, and watch as every genre gets the CALL OF DUTY treatment. Lets let action third person shooters like Uncharted 3 turn into utter crap to attract more casuals, lets just sit down and watch as every damn genre gets dumbed down.
Problem is some kids can handle the violence and sexual references to a certain extent, but some can't.

Why should I have to plug in a controller in the first place? I can see why some people would game on a PC, that's fine, especially if you're into MMOs, but I just like the online network of consoles and the games they have to offer.
And like gamingdroid said, I don't really like updating hardware, it doesn't look THAT complicated, but certainly not something I enjoy doing.
Don't give a damn about the "graphical gap" between consoles and PCs. I find PCs to be an inconvenience to my style of gaming, and I rarely find a friend that games on their PC. 6-8 years though is too much time, the next consoles should be announced this E3 or the next..imo.

I don't think I "hate" them, but I certainly would like to see them far away from gaming as possible. I already don't like Microsoft's approach, so I can only imagine seeing what Apple has done with the ipad and iphone.

I just hope next year they add a league mode to ultimate team. As for the story mode, I also think the career mode is enough.
PS3 sales are good,probably better worldwide it has been a couple of years and I'm still enjoying playing on my PS3, not so much for my xbox which is currently collecting dust.

Obviously you're a pc gamer, I have no interest in playing on a piece of hardware that practically has no online community. Only reason I'd stick to building a complicated rig and slouching over my computer desk would be a very good mmo, which I haven't found yet..

Nintendo is all about the casual market, that's the only reason they might really "win" again. I always see kids with Wiis and the DS, that's just their market, and I'm not interested in Zelda, or ANOTHER mario, or ANOTHER metroid. And I sure as hell don't want to play on Nintendo's infant online network.
I'd expect the Vita to be better in that category. But then again I like Sony's handhelds a lot more for gaming and music, the nintendo handhelds don't cut it for me anymore, feel a little too grown up for them.
That just shows how much more PS3 supporters there are rather than xbox ones there are. In 2007 and a bit after that it was completely different. Don't see how that's sad, just logic.
Most of the people I hear that enjoy MW3 and think of it as the best FPS out there don't know much about gaming. They're usually from the casual gaming crowd, same people who buy Just Dance games and say games like BF3 suck since it's too harsh on their corridor-shooting style.

Meh, same for me. I've had friends who have told me that the PS3 is lame and dumb, and ask why I game on it. Of course, these are the same kids who are failing most of their college courses, while I maintain a GPA above 3.0. So that kinda speaks about the people who say that, and unfortunately also for the xbox fanbase.
The more Mainstream something is, the more dumbed down it gets for the masses...
