Yeah, because everything on the internet is fully objective, accurate, and the source of truth...

BS.

Who said I was comparing the services?

Istarted with a comparison of some things then went on to say that I subscribe for a lot more of the other services.

I was simply stating things I used and making the point that there is a lot more to these services than getting free games.

Sony: "Trust us"
Sony Gamer: "No, problem, my faith is blind"
Sony: "Yeah, just forget about us trying to sell you a PS3 at $599, promising all games would be 1080P/60 fps for PS3, dropping BC in PS3, then selling you PS2 games as HD PS3 games that you could've ran using BC, eliminating dual boot, allowing our network to be hacked down for three weeks, and now were charging for online multiplayer... Oh and by the way, we still haven't shipped ...

Everyone focuses on the free games, but as a subscriber to both services I find that XBL brings out more good prices than PS Plus. So, while you get "Free" games more often on PSN Plus, the general cost of games comes out cheaper on Live.

Also, on PSN Plus the games are only free to use as long as you subscribe, whereas on Live Gold they are giving you the games to own even if you are no longer a gold subscriber.

For me though, the cost of games is...

In the last two generations the most powerful gaming device has yet to win the generation battle.

The original Xbox was more powerful than the PS2 but it lost to PS2.

The PS3 was more powerful than Xbox 360 but the least powerful device (Wii) won the generation.

Console power does not win the generation.

Comparing a non-portable living room console to a portable console?

Why aren't they comparing to 3DS? Isn't that the competition for PS Vita?

PS4 price is definitely more attractive than X1. And Sony has a better hold on Europe than MS.

I guarantee that Sony will beat MS in every market except maybe US and UK this year.

But year 2 of this gen will be the big one where you see the real games and real war. Whoever wins year 2 will win the generation. In year one, both Sony and MS will sell out their consoles, but I am sure that Sony can produce more, so they have it in the bag this year.

If it is about games the E3 winner was Titanfall... When is that shipping on PS4? (I'm sure it will, but it is probably a one year timed exclusive).

When you talk about the exclusives games that have been confirmed to ship for holiday 2013 MS wins without a fight... PS4: Knack, Killzone, infamous, and Drive Club vs. X1: Deadrising 3, Ryse, Forza 5, Kinect Sports Rivals, and Killer Instinct.

I know Sony supposedly has more, but they announced games that w...

Fire all the games journalists today and replace them with people who actually are journalists instead of fanboys.

I can't remember the last time I saw a truly balanced games article.

Oh right, bankrupt.

Wow, yesterday a comparison of Wii U to the PS2, today X1 to PS3, tomorrow, PS4 to a gaming PC...

Gaming PCs will win all the battles!

The survey question is leading...

Meaning that it asks what they no longer spend their money on... It makes sense that highly optional things would always top these lists...

A better question would be "Did you buy a last gen console, and if so do you intend to buy a next gen console?".

Sony had no choice. The cost of continuing with Cell was not feasible and the feedback from developers last generation was that the cell architecture was to difficult to work with.

Good choice by Sony going with a mainstream architecture!

The problem is that every console has to have some unique selling feature.

The problem is not the console per se. The problem is that there is nothing other than Nintendo exclusive franchises for you to buy a Wii U... No achievements/trophies, no AAA online gaming experience, no big additional media features, no Blu-ray, way less power than the other next gen consoles, and deteriorating 3rd party support. Also, Wii U failed to attract the casual market they gained with the ...

I don't see any issues with this. X1 might sell a few thousand a week in Japan without a AAA Japanese game shipping.

It is really a waste of money and resources trying to market there. MS needs to retain a strong sales position in North America and Western Europe.

This is great news... I always saw Don M. as dorky and really annoying when he took to stage.

Hopefully, in the longer term, they will choose someone who has a little bit of charisma...

PS: I think he was going to get booted out anyhow because of how the X1 launch fiasco and DRM went down.
