Thanks for the detailed reply -Rory, that's great information on the online accounts. However, the struggle for me is still based on multiple consoles.
Currently, I have 2 Xbox Ones in my house. One in the family area and one in the game room. Because I can have my kids under my profile as "Family", they can be logged into either console and play games that I've purchased.
Currently on Nintendo, with both the Wii U and 3DS, this is not...

Microsoft is drawing a line in the sand for what the future of video games is going to be. I'm glad to be on it's side!
I care. Knowing the name of the new ship is exciting. Plus, Tempest sounds pretty dang cool.
I don't think he can every give us the games that "we want" because that's different for each person. I honestly think Portal 2 is one of my favorite games of all time, so I'm super pumped to be able to play it now on my Xbox One.
Man, you are right about one thing, if Mass Effect does in fact ship next March, this will be it's last appearance at E3. So disappointing that more wasn't shown!
I am so pumped for the Scorpio, VR, and 4K gaming. I'm glad Microsoft is raising the bar again.
I agree on the design. It looks like it belongs in the Mass Effect universe, but has it's own distinct look and feel to it. Can't wait to get a peak inside.
To be fair. Portal 2 is one of the best games on the Xbox 360, winning several Game of the Year awards. And Left 4 Dead is a huge cult favorite. I do agree that Red Dead should have been included as just icing on this amazing cake!
Obviously, that was supposed to read Compatibility. Thanks for pointing it out. Unfortunately, It can't be corrected on N4G, but it has been corrected in the actual story.
I would argue one of the best games on the Xbox 360.
I think there was a good variety of game and I fault the leaks for lack of excitement. If we didn't have any leaks, the Slim, Scorpio, and Dead Rising 4 would have had much more impact.
These are great points Ninjaz. I would said that a digital buyback program would have been huge, most importantly, a buyback or credit program for updating the console itself, to the S or the Scorpio, would have been welcomed.
As far as memberships, I agree it would be nice for it be free, but I don't think that will ever happen. Too many people are willing to pay. To be fair though, Xbox Live is a stellar service.
Man, EA was such a disappointment this year. Basically no Mass Effect and nothing for Star Wars. Titanfall 2's campaign is appealing and Battlefield 1 looks amazing, but the show was a big let down.
To be fair, I believe all games belong everywhere, so I would kindly disagree.
It's fair to expect a delay, and it's totally likely to happen, but Fallout 4 wasn't shown until E3 last year and launched 5 months later. I'm not saying they are the same game or the same types of teams, but I'm just saying it's possible for MS to be holding back for a full reveal and then release in the fall.
Good review. I have no affinity for DOOM but I may have to pick it up, it sounds great!
I didn't know much about this game, but after reading this review I think I'm going to have to check it out. Cute puzzle driven storytelling is kind of my favorite thing ever! :)
I don't know that I would go that far, but I do agree that the "closed" aspect of the worlds hurt the game for sure. We saw them acknowledge this by adding a few cross over characters to 2.0 and full cross over in 3.0 with the Star Wars stuff. At that point though, it's too little too late. An approach where everyone played together, similar more to Skylanders, would have been preferred.
Great Interview. Too bad the film wasn't better.
