Yeah, the 360 is moderately hot right now for RPGs. Of course, nothing on the PS2's level of support, but still hot: Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Mass Effect, Eternal Sonata, Infinite Undiscovery, Star Ocean 4, and Tales of Vesperia. Sony needs to get on the ball here. They're lacking, and it makes me sad. I'm sure we'll be in RPG heaven as well on the PS3 a year or two from now, but, still, it doesn't make it any easier waiting. The lack of RPGs on the PS3 has gotten to the point where I don't...
@ godofthunder10
I won't disagree, but I won't agree either. You have some parts right and some parts wrong. Its hard for anyone to remember events that happened eight years ago. But, yes, the two PlayStations did have problems. Not so much the original PlayStation (overheating problems) as that was quickly dealt with. The PS2 was the one that had the problem. On top of that, they did provide a nice manner of addressing the issue just like Microsoft had.
Of course, i...
OH-EM-GEE! Hype plus 100! Single and multiplayer gameplay? Insomniac sure knows how to please their fans. My heart has already melted and I haven't even seen the video. I'm going to ball like a baby when it premieres. In the event that I do not return from my TV after seeing the awesomeness of Resistance 2, either that or Insomniac decides to show Parker or Cartwright's face, know that I died a happy man.
I'm glad I caught this little piece of news in the wake of MGS4. Seriously, people have almost become so obsessed with that game they almost forgot that we are eagerly awaiting news for many games just like inFamous. I hope more people hear about this. It should be an explosion! inFamous will be amazing. I'll place my preorder on it over at GameStop the next time I go there. Maybe they'll have it up when I go pick up MGS4.
I can't wait to see some gameplay footage. I think I get ...
I disagree with your assessment. Partly because most movies that are released today are far better than the old ones that came out of yesteryear. You maybe seeing a lot of "crap" coming out of Hollywood, which it could be, but you forget they're are tons of films released every week. More so than any other year before it. On top of that, just because something doesn't look good to you doesn't mean its the same for everyone else. I loved Horton Hears a Who. I'm sure some of you avoid...
I've always wondered why some game designers couldn't just wait a few years and come up with a really nice way to layout these movie tie-in games. It frustrates me every time I see another by the numbers game. Seriously, I know you want to capitalize on how fresh the property is right now, but if you took some time and came up with a great gameplay experience that more complemented or advanced the ideas of the movie then you might have something. Honestly, I'm probably being too critical, but...
Still no update. And its already Friday for the East Coast. :'( Who knew we would see such a historic day. The first day Sony misses its update. I never knew I could get this desperate. Oh well. I'm still here Sony. Still waiting. No matter what. Hey, just thought of something. I was teaching myself this song earlier today so I could work my way up to Expert Vocals with it (got to Hard so far :p). Never knew it would be such a fitting song for the situation I'm in now. :D
This sounds great. An online magazine in essence, but instead of going the way of other podcasts and blogs they include bonuses delivered to the highest quality. I see the potential in this, and I'm sure its not just the tantalizing betas that lay in wait. :p No other magazine was able to offer this kind of service, and they charge the same price. I think Sony is starting to get a hang of this online stuff. They may just be able to get some nice things going for it: Qore, HOME, Video and Movi...
I prefer Blu-Ray for now. Digital Downloads sounds very exciting right now, but then again... we don't know what the future will hold for us. Oh wait, we do. Check this out... http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
Move over 480p (you're still not dead?!?), 720p, and 1080p. By the time many analysts think digital downloads will start having its way in the market, a new format will show its face (2015 specifically)......
I really don't know what to say. I don't think we're being let onto everything. Let's keep in mind this is a print magazine. All print media has deadlines. So any time constraints was likely on their part. And who knows, maybe it was a bit of Konami's fault too for not accommodating. Even though, being pissy about it I feel is inappropriate at this time. I'm not a mind reader. I don't know what Konami was thinking when they placed these limitations. Didn't like it? Then you made the right cho...
As much as I love MGS, I did not buy my PS3 because of it. Instead, I bought it for the plethora of games I grew increasingly excited for. People who say they bought a PS3 for MGS... good for them. I just hope they take this chance and capitalize on the other games they missed out on by waiting this long. Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Heavenly Sword, Resistance, and WarHawk have quickly become favorites in PS3 gaming circles everywhere. Meanwhile, journalists continue to f...
Ooooooo... LEFT4DEAD!!! Nice. I'm so excited for that game. Who doesn't want to battle it out with hundreds of zombies with four player Co-Op. It's going to be amazing. I'm calling it now. :D
So, I typically avoid these kind of stories in case of spoilers because I am really anticipating this game. I see a lot of potential in it. But all I hear lately is a bunch of negativity. It got me a little worried. So I checked out the video to see if it was warranted in terms of theme and atmosphere. And I have to tell you. It's not.
I don't understand how people could complain about something like that. It was really nice. Reminded me a lot of Silent Hill 2: psychological fun ...
Honestly, I'm just happy I have all three consoles. Allows me to choose between a huge variety of games. I am proud of each to a point. Largely Microsoft, you need to fix the RROD >_<, and Sony. Nintendo has a little more to prove after all the non-games coming out. I hardly use it anymore. I love it, but just find it hard to game on it past the tired old favorites. And the horizon ain't looking too pretty for the consumer favorite system. E3 will be interesting.
This artic...
Whoa... that's all I got to say. I never did go to GameTrailers much and now I know why. :D I never could quite place it, maybe because I couldn't prove it, but I'm glad others did. Kudos. This stuff should never be tolerated. I hope more people take this as a lesson learned. Not necessarily as a shame on you, but more as a reminder that your opinion is the one that counts. It is fine to look for advice, but final say is yours to control. GameTrailers should be ashamed of itself. :( Let's hop...
I can't believe this. How the hell did this get approved?!? This is just sad. What a rant. You want to know why HD DVD died? It relied on the idea that the future will not catch up to us. A format without any promise is a format not worth investing in. That may not be what is apparent to the average consumer, but the average consumer is not needed for market penetration.
Blu-Ray unlike HD DVD knew it had to win over the support of studios, tech junkies, and audiophiles alike. Che...
Tecmo Bowl? Meh. I've actually seen the issue already. Didn't read much: quick break at work. But I did find something fairly interesting this article failed to mention. Next issue will have a preview of Gears of War 2 (I think they mentioned something about Co-Op discussion), a first look at Banjo Kazooie 3, and a preview of the long awaited inFamous. I'm most excited about inFamous, but it will be a pretty awesome issue by the sounds of it. Unless the preview is just some lame recap like th...
Alright, impressions... It's been a while since I have done one of these. I'll try not to spoil much. If you consider gameplay to be too much, then you should skip over this post completely. I'll go into a few specifics for those that want to get the most out of the demo.
I haven't the slightest idea of the fundamentals of speaking nor writing in Japanese, but I feel this phrase sums up my whole experience with the short two mission spread:
"Negata! Imo no uchi ...
I think many people might be missing something here. Since PSN is for free and demos take time to put together, developers may not want to go out of their way to put a demo out with no compensation. Matter of fact, they would have lost money in the deal as they have to pay someone to put the demo together. I guess it could be figured into their Marketing budget. Regardless, maybe the marketing and tech teams are tied down with other projects to be bothered by a demo. Imagine, though, if you w...
