It has already defeat them, stalker - there is nothing to tell much more here, but i think that metro 2033 in it's very specific environment is comparable to cryegine but the the requirements (on pc) are way to high, thus a the end of the day cryengine is the winner.

But there are, how many - 10 ? worth playing ps3 exclusives to date and they will work on 3.41, so when someone is a pirate he haven't play them probably, now before a pirate will be done playing this 10 titles there will be a hack to play new exclusives that requires newer firmware. Also i'm pretty sure that new firmware blocks playing new games on lower firmware by software only so it can be hacked.
