Tiled resources are already there, with the dx 11.2 update, there is even the mars demo available on pc, but as off now, not one game is using it.

Just buy better hardware.

Just another fanboy lies, the most powerful gaming pc can't render photo realistic quality realtime, but a weak mobile cpu can? Damn those fanboys.

Pff, you have that graphics at least for 4 years on pc, console players behave like they discovered something new...

But when you made a comparison in 2010 between ps3/x360 vs 1080p pc you were attacked by console players from everywhere. (exclusives and such other nonsense, where COD is the most selling game for years)

But now you compare basically the same, a pc in a box (xone/ps4) with their ancestors, and there aren't any attack, actually im not surpr...

Of course it will, but on a pc, not on consoles.

It is irrelevant if i can't play console AAA exclusives on this rig, its worth nothing, i'm interested only in AAA quality games, don't have time for some shitty 5000 indie games.

4145d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

And one reason why it's still irrelevant - exclusives

4146d ago 2 agree6 disagreeView comment

But 4 years ago they didn't have any next gen console, even any dev box and as you may know or not, optimization is made last, very last.

Not really, to a degree in games, you can bump resolution even to 4k on pc, but it still won't give you an ultra realistic look, you need better algorithms and a lot more of computing power to actually make it look a lot better, simple resolution bump just can't gibe you that.

Here it is, a 720p pictures of soldiers

We are talking here about resolution, METAL is promoted by larger resolution than next gen consoles, not by experience.

I don't need a minute, i needed 100 ms after reading that that, sure, but what will be the quality of objects, texture, models, lightening, physics, environment, AI?

You can run even crysis 3 in 4k on ps4, but you would need to lower the quality of many, many aspects of the game, is it wort it, guess not.

RESOLUTION doesn't' determine the graphics quality.

If you record a footage in 720p or watch any movie in 720p, you will see gr...

Complete BS, if that were true, why they bothered with 8 core cpu, if cpu doesn't matter in games, then why not use a 2 core cpu, lol...

@SSJBen

Nope, you are wrong, the same cpu that is clocked higher is better, maybe not much, depends on optimization, but, 1.75 is ALWAYS > 1.6.

So YES, it helps in performance, but not in resolution which is shader performance dependent and ps4 gpu is 50% more powerful.

But again, a weak pc cpu has 2 cores, but clocked 3,2 ghz, there are also powerful 4 core cpus with 3,2ghz or more and guest what, they work on box cooling, they are quiet....

4191d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

You are wrong, ps4 cpu is at 1.6, m$ has set it in xone at 1.75.

But if m$ can, sony can too, i think both consoles can use 2 ghz in future, probably they will release more ram for games in time.

4192d ago 2 agree11 disagreeView comment

No they are not using more than 4 cores.

Core i7-5960X tests:

crysis 3 - http://pclab.pl/art58628-7....

bf4 mp - http://pclab.pl/art58628-6.... , ok ~ 15 fps more, but for additional 4 full cores this is a joke.

Nope, dx12 won't solve everything, if dx12 will be us...

According to tests, there are no single AAA game that uses more than 4 cores, haswell-E for gaming is a complete waste of money, the extra 2 or 4 cores will not be used at all.

It would be better to have, a 4 core cpu but with much higher clocks.

If you using 8 core haswell-e ONLY for games, then you are using only half of the cpu.

It can give you little gain if the driver can use those cores, but games still uses a max of 4 cores and sometim...

No if the limit is on cpu, according to tests, there are no single AAA game that uses more than 4 cores, haswell-E for gaming is a complete waste of money, the extra 2 or 4 cores will not be used at all and hence console are making the most AAA money (having 6 core cpu but only 1,6 ghz) and anyone can buy affordable 4 core cpu for pc, but not expensive haswell-E then it will be couple years before anyone will make games using 6 and 8 cores or scale for available amount.

@LogicalReason

Then show me a tablet game with graphics like the last of us, uncharted 4 and more to come...

"power management and heat"

Don't really think so, the new consoles basically need more power at idle than a medium pc (at idle), also when playing, consoles don't use less power than a pc with comparable performance.

So i really can't understand why only 1,7 ghz.

4204d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

7850 is not a low end card, it a mid range card, on pc you can play every game with it, maybe not on ultra, but every game will work on it.

And consoles don't have, a tablet designed cpus, they are full desktop x86 cpus (64bit), but yeah a low clock of ~ 1,7 ghz is strange, especially when amd could easy offer 3ghz as in their pc cpus, don't know why m$ and sony decided to go only with 1,7 ghz clocks, then on pc a 4 core cpu i making 3,2 ghz easily, even amd cpus.
