I don't think the Xbone being region locked has to do with Chinese politics. I think Microsoft wants to test their original draconian policies and using the Chinese government as a scapegoat for a return to their original agenda. Because it would be believable for Microsoft to say "they made us do it". Should the Xbone be somewhat successful despite restrictions then they would have reason to resume the original agenda worldwide.
Because... Microsoft. As someone stated it was always part of their restrictive agenda which DRM played a heavy role.
They don't have to import. They can download from the US PSN Store. I currently grab stuff off the Chinese PSN store.
I can't wait for the "Asian" version of Yakuza 0 that I will download from the Chinese store. :)

Failed to crack 4 million units worldwide despite being on last gen Xbox and PC as well. So 3 platforms and either the 1st or 2nd largest hype train of the year yet practically nobody is still playing it. Not the worst failure of the year but definitely a failure. Also it wouldn't have lost the sequel being exclusive to Microsoft if it hadn't failed. If it had been a success the franchise would remain locked to MS but the sales from MS alone failed to cut it.
And so it begins.
This is an easy one. PS4 won. They could sell 0 units in December and still would bave won because Sony are so far ahead.

lol... if that's true then Xbone is done. That's about all they have in the fight against Sony.
Take a look at Sega's track record. They make franchises and get you hooked on the characters. Then once you've been sufficiently hooked... they remind you how much they hate the west by never letting you touch those characters again.
