The way I see it is they are thinking, theyre hardly behind 360 in europe having come out over a year later (March 2007 vs Nov 2005), so they focus all their energy and money on making the U.S as good as possible to pick up the lag. That or SCEE is just seriously slacking off.
Though I don't see how hard it would be to at least make sure the PSN store's function the same, or home.

Sorry guys, while Im happy for you to get your fix of the game early, I think Sony should have just had the ones that you get on preorder, and thats it. They are going to ruin anticipation for the game.

But by E3 2009 PS3 will already have Killzone 2, Infamous and maybe Heavy Rain out.. followed closely after E3 by uncharted 2, these are dead certs. Any guesses to what this e3 surprise might be from MS? most probs another gears, halo, ninja or banjo game, another gained multiplat perhaps, and probs another price cut.

Most change we will see hardware wise I say is colours, new PS3 firmware 3.0 (depending on when in-game chat is done),maybe a new Dual Shock, and MAYBE BC. No Slim.
