Can't wait.
That what it says on Wikipedia, but there's no source on it, and neither site mentions the other.
Ignition haven't really been known for much. The only notable title they released was Metal Slug 7 for DS and they are planning on releasing King of Fighters XII in North America. They also ported that horrible 360 game, Vampire Rain, game for the PS3.
Just judging from videos, inFamous is a slower paced game, much like an open world shooter with action elements. On the other hand, Prototype seems faster, with an emphasis on over-the-top action and movement elements.
I'm much more likely to play it.
"Christian Winthrop (CW): An all-star cast of 1UP editors will carry on the site’s tradition of engaging hardcore gamers with insightful commentary, comprehensive information and breaking news from the games industry."
Really? Especially when you fired the vast majority of the editors who HAVE insightful commentary and comprehensive information? Especially when the majority of what made 1UP great was the community, a community of which now hates UGO?
...EGM had Killzone 2 as a cover story a few months back.
And it's justified. 1UP's Matt Leone only likes one game: God of War.
...in HD. That trailer was pretty underwhelming.
I saw Kratos for 10 seconds, followed by a giant GameStop ad. Spike TV fails.
Seriously, when X-Play did their staff picks, Adam was the only one who suggested Resistance 2. Source here: http://www.g4tv.com/xplay/f...
I was gonna go back and replay R:FoM anyway before I (hope to) get R2 for Xmas. Those free packs should be fun, assuming people play them...
People can have opinions!
But opinions are stupid!
Wait, what?
I saw some of it, the full viewing is going to be on Gamevideos tomorrow.
However, I really don't consider them biased per say. Maybe because they have such a strong community base through their podcasts and such, I see them more as actual people with opinions than professional journalists.
The game is very different from normal MMOs and very casual. I've gotten to spend a fair amount of time playing regardless of the crazy holiday gaming season. Plus, it's all free and runs really well on a browser.
Didn't realize N4G had such big influence.
They were also quoting their source as this article too....
If I pay a subscription fee to form a party and go online I'm going to be super pissed.
Because
a) the contributor wrote that description up, the only thing the source links to is confirmation there will be trophies.
b) What if the trophies weren't included at launch and got patched in? It wouldn't be on the review build then. The game's not out yet.
c) The game was reviewed by a member of IGN's 360 team, not their PS3 division.
d) What if the trophies for the PS3 are different than the achievements? The reviewer might have tried doing the same thing with...
It's just the Halo 3 theme. The best you'll be able to do with the music is the music box sound or piano from the Tetris and Piano levels. I highly doubt you're gonna recreate an entire orchestra using LBP. Open your eyes a bit, it's this kind of narrow minded fanboyism that makes PS3 owners look bad.
No problem. I just feel kinda bad since I'm kinda giving away chances t0 all of my friends on the IGN boards. But it would end up on N4G eventually, so....
EDIT: IGN's Chris Roper posted this on the Insider boards:
And FYI, I'll be sending out a bunch today before I head home, and then resuming on Monday. But if you've already sent an email, you should get a code in the next couple hours (I have to send them out manually).
The story also seems like it could be intriguing judging of the trailer.
