It combines philosophy, religion in such a way that makes you have so many gut wrenching moments in the game, with so much emphasis on the story and character detail, I just wish this was continued on the PS2, but Xenosaga is also good

MGS4 is a worldwide seller, GTA4 and Halo3 are national sellers for the most part

I don't know about you but I will take the logic route and say it is dying when the unit sales are in the bottom of the pit, but I guess articles nowadays have logic on the backburner because being illogical is the new cool right....Oh yeahhhhhh!!! =(
Okay I don't think this is an opinion anymore but I think MGS4 is the first game to garner reviews from the weirdest places on this planet
I am thinking the next review might be done by a University newspaper, or an official word of mouth review done anywhere on the streets, or maybe perhaps a telecommunication survey done will also make the review list, or maybe an after dinner review done by a family after they are done eating

Just reading the comments on the reviewers page kinda shows you how way off this guy is.
What I don't get is why don't they let a reviewers who loves story driven games review MGS4, you are going to get a bad hit on the review score obviously, it's like getting person who loves all the rpg games in the world only and letting him review Halo 3, you are not going to receive a good score

Your opinion is the same as mine, I'm still in the middle of it I stopped because of class, but it is an awesome game, maybe I'm bias on this because of my love for FFVII so much
Note: Xenogears is my favorite RPG of all time, but FFVII is near up there

I think you need to consider which one was a worldwide success in software for MGS4 vs. Halo 3 as opposed to a national success

Yeah I know it's because of MGS4, but to see that stat with over 800,000 is just unreal!!!
I'm in general talking about innovation, success or not, having a Yu-Gi-Oh type of mechanic is pretty cool

the NPD HW numbers like they stated beat the 360 before the release of MGS4, and that's with the GTA 4 sales for the 360
The most important stat for Sony is user base and not unit sales, so they could care less right now, when or if user base does surpass the 360 it will be hard to garner the unit sale numbers again
I don't mind playing my old games again, it's like they suddenly got a boost of energy.
