Skyrim is a decent game, but a very shallow RPG. Still not as shallow as Fallout 4.
Too many fantastic RPG's. My personal top 5 in no order would be New Vegas, Kotor 2, Witcher 3, Diablo, and Dark Souls 1.

Thing is, I guarantee it is a vocal minority that is yelling at them, who probably never played games, let alone play that specific game. You always pop up in these types of articles and I, and most others say the same thing. The company is buckling over, more than likely, harassment and them being a smaller company, probably just want to appease these whiny bastards so the games doesn't get slandered. On the real, this game makes the OG pokemon games look to be as complex/in depth as Dark Souls, as this game is so dumbed down it hurts me as a Pokefan.
The lore is some of the best of all time imo and requires intelligence, patience, and attention to even see some of the lore. I never found the story through exploration tedious as the information and environments were always interesting and mysterious. But to say 0 story telling is BS, the game doesn't hold your hand in gameplay or in lore, which makes it unique. Also it is one of the few games where I am unsure of what will happen to my character when 90% of other RPG's I could pred...

As long as they don't continue to dumb down their games and return to Oblivion level of depth, then sure. But after Fallout 4 I am going to be more cautious.
You Role play as the three main protagonists or the MP protagonist with stats to level and things to customize in a open world. That is a RPG.
Too bad Ubisfot, Square, and Capcom suck now. Maybe Before 2007 or 90's in general but... Not in today's world.

Fallout 4 was worse off at launch by a mile. Game breaking glitch my first run through before I got into the vault. Had at least 2 or 3 game breaks and I got the game 2 months after cause I like to wait for the updates. Okay, so a weird, creepy glitch means it is trashed with glitches when Fallout 4 has many game breaking glitches? Originally Witcher 3 had a few glitches and very few game breaking glitches, which are mostly patched out. Fallout 4 is still a mess. Fallout 4 was very restricted as an RPG. Very shallow leveling, you have a very set path for a story, not much loot, but a great mod system, and ass for DLC.
I am a huge fan of all the MG games, and I enjoy TPP, but MGS 3 and 4 are the best to me. But V killed the story with such a bad ending, that spat in my face, although gameplay is great, but the story was difficult staying interested in.
