It's been revealed, not leaked or speculated. There's a console intentionally being built for what it was revealed as. Saying it doesn't exist is BS, at this point. If someone went around saying that about a game that was revealed, but because it wasn't something he can obtain or own that very moment, everyone would say that guy is stupid.

It takes a long time to build a console. Longer then a year. To say the Scorpio is a reaction to ps4 is desperate. The ps4 neo is a move for better experience and vr as also the Scorpio.
Playstation probably said the same thing when everyone started crying about PSplus, then raised the price.
I'm thinking of getting this on PC. The game is said to not be too hard on cpu and gpu but requires 8gb ram.

You do realize that even some gaming headsets need updates like an Astro Mixamp. Or even controllers can have updates. Even smart tvs. They all do basic things, buy might not work as intended if it's not updated. So here we have a console that does a whole lot more. I wouldn't see an update as an issue the very first time this thing needs to start up
