I buy a Blue-ray disc i own that single copy. I can sell it to anyone and the movie company don't get a cut from the resale. Why should the resale of games be any different or this or music CD's etc?.

Yes offcourse. I love big budget games but having just them gets boring over time and expensive as well. Little but interesting and unique games in between is what we need.
Sony focusing on the indie devs is a big plus for them. Mark my words. The indie scene will be critical for this gen's console race.

Fact is MS new policies divert part of the current revenue stream from the pockets of game retailers and consumers to MS and publishers. What did you expect game retailers and consumers to do?. Love bending over to MS and publisher?.

I didn't factor in Game retailers before.
So basically MS sided with publishers while Sony sided with the gamers and also game retailers that get most of their money from disc based new and used games.
PS4 is also cheaper and now also have the PS Eye as an accessory.
If i were the Gamestop CEO or employee i would push the PS4 more.
The early lead is with Sony. There is no question about it. I agree though and i am sure most do that this console war is far from over.
Sony will do well in every region. X1 though has a very bleak future especially outside of NA. I am sure they will still do well in the NA but not as good as they have done with the X360. How good or bad depends on what they will do from here on out.
