Many thanks guys! I didn't even think that my review was that good but I won't say no! :P
You do realise how big a difference there is in Japan and "the West" which is regarded as an agglomeration of all of North America and the West of Europe among others, right? How do you figure they'll sell more Vitas in Japan than there so easily?
Well that sucks, I don't even have a Vita but any chance to play more Tales games would be well appreciated. Maybe somewhere down the line when things pick up.
Although I don't know why this article has a picture of Milla from Xillia on it. The news about future Western versions possibly having the option to use Japanese dialogue sounds fantastic though.
Er August is in the Summer. :P
I was hoping for something earlier too but at least I have more time to get into Vesperia again and then Graces f!
CDPR have always had a very small team, and porting the first 2 games to the PS3 would have taken them an extremely long time. They've increased their team size but it'll still take a while to get these projects out. Even look at their website and how many people for big positions they're still looking to hire for Cyberpunk 2077. They didn't bring the first game to X360, does that mean everyone said "bah I won't bother with them"?
@MikeMyers: Nintendo had been marketing the interactivity between the controller and TV / console quite a while before Sony decided to go down that route with the PS3 and PSVita. Just because the WiiU wasn't released when Sony advertised it doesn't mean anything. If Sony marketed the colour changing light on the back of the controller but Nintendo made a new controller in the next 2 months with that added feature does that mean Nintendo did it first?
That's a very interesting interpretation of the Metal Gear Solid universe and the alternating story arcs of the main Snakes. I sure do hope that MGSV will be something like MGS2 in terms of its social commentary and the focus on information technology and the world we're beginning to step in to (or in some people's views become engulfed by).
Thing is people seem to forget Hayter's little question saying "how would people feel about me not being in the next MGS game" of a few weeks ago, and how it was aimed at Konami and KP or Kojima. So he wasn't just asking fans randomly, he was surely teasing something or basically asking "what's the deal guys?" which I don't think he'd do. He'd know better than anyone how late into development voice-acting is done and launching into a crazy tirade sa...
I loved Lost Odyssey but really didn't like Jansen at all. Just too much of a forced attempt at humour with almost every single line.
Also this list is missing Tales of Vesperia!
This is why saying changing Hayter for the sake of changing where the series is headed probably doesn't make much sense. I'd still say he'll play a part but of course people overreact instead.
In MGS2 you started off with a first, short chapter, and after the events of what happened in this chapter the story progresses and the real game in the real, full location begins. The same thing happened in MGS3. You started off in what was called the Virtuous Mission and after that ended the timeline advanced a bit and then the full game really began. Basically it just means the former are preludes, while the latter are the real game.
Doesn't make much sense to me. Bandaged guy in hospital seems pretty young. Burned man seems quite old (of course that could just be to do with his scars, but listen to his voice too) and that is in the start of the game, whereas Big Boss meets the bandaged man 9 years later.
Still don't get why people are so up in arms about it. Voice-acting is usually done very late on, for all we know the person voice-acting Snake in that scene (which sounds like Sutherland) is just doing it for that section in place before they finish the game. Anyway Hayter has been great as Snake, but he has had a good 7 games from MGS1 to Peace Walker. Time to move on I think.

"Who cares it it's multiplat? Why even bring it up?"

"Every true MGS fan gets MG games on Playstation"
lol
It's GZ + Phantom Pain together. So the whole "Ground Zeroes is a prelude to MGS5" thing might still mean these are chapters in the game. (At least that's been my theory for a while.)
Well Kojima said that the game will be released current gen when talking about Ground Zeroes and there was always a chance that TPP would be targeted for the same release. One of the major theories was that GZ and TPP were part of one game and another main theory was that GZ was part of or = Ground Zeroes. So what if it's this gen too? More people get to play it if it's cross gen and the Fox Engine has been made in order to make making things like this easier for KP.
Well clearly he is working in tandem with Geoff Keighley about the whole "Moby Dick Studios". And he has never done stuff like this before? What about in MGS2 when everyone and their dog thought the game was just a direct sequel to MGS and we'd all play as Snake for the whole game. Or about how the story of the game was being a recreation of the events of the first game being unknowingly replayed by Raiden and the player at the same time.
I hate all the Kojima f...
"Joakim Mogren is a head and possibly a shirt. At no point do we ever see any other part of him."
orly?
This has been the case for the last bunch of AC-related CEs, such as the AC3 Freedom Edition, the Revelations Animus edition and some of the Brotherhood editions. PC games are cheaper in general.
I have to lol at you saying Bioware games have better dialogue. I can't speak for Dragon Age but Mass Effect 2 and 3 has some atrocious dialogue and scenes. All of the romance scenes and dialogue (particularly in 2) are cringeworthy to say the least, and hearing Shepard do that oh-so typical paragon thing of summarising what someone has done and then justifying it in order to console them got old so quickly, heard it all before. Talking to Kaidan and Ashley in 3 was like talking to a bric...
