I only joined the staff team a short time ago and wondered this and by chance asked about it just a few days ago when I had a look at how many negative votes compared to positive votes on the site there were from users (I won't say the actual figures, but the difference was massive, even I didn't expect it). There are some sites that the owners of the website (Hava Media) seem to have specific sites set to a 3-star rating which is next to impossible to change with user votes, and Kota...
I'm pretty sure they'll just wait and see how the first one does before considering that. Especially since by then the PS4 and most likely the new Xbox will be out by then so they might prefer to move to a new project, but Baba did say previously they they currently have no plans to move to the PS4 just yet so maybe I'm wrong.
Just to add to everything Cgoodno has said, 2 of your 3 links were actually failed by the community, not staff members.
I can understand the annoyance of some articles being failed by us on the moderating team, but considering how easy it is to make up a rumour these days around the announcements of new consoles (and the pure wealth of rumours first coming from different sites and then being rehashed again a few days later) the site would be completely flooded with rumours th...
If that's the case then why is Yoshida saying that only some parts of a game may not be uploaded? If it was copyright reasons would that mean any footage of the game wouldn't be allowed? It won't look very well for Sony after marketing this ability for players to show off everything they've done if every developer can just click their fingers and say "nah don't want that".
But it does change a thing. They are still putting resources and time into touching up a game they've already made. Look at how long the X remaster is taking. Almost all of their HD projects this gen have been delayed by their development of XIV and even now it continues to cause them a lot of issues and cost them a lot of money.
I'm not just talking about SE's games though because this isn't limited to Square Enix. Look at the amount of HD collections around this generation of games that never needed them, all the re-releases and everyone complaining that they want new games and then saying "oh it's not like ___" once was.
Here's an idea, why don't companies make new games instead!? It's like people enjoy giving money twice to a company for the same game and just want to play the exact same things year in year out.
Of course everyone is entitled to an opinion (which some people don't seem to understand around here). But if a website gives a game a score of 10/10 then that surely means the game is next to flawless, if not actually flawless. Later on criticising the game when the rest of the internet is up-in-arms about it doesn't exactly help a lot if you've misled your readers in the first place and said to them "this is a great game, you should go buy it".
Presumably it will use compressed audio unlike MGS4 which will save tons of space.
@Knight Crawler: The simple fact is we can't spot everything as we can't all be on at the one time. If people don't report articles then we won't see them all but a lot of people just complain about articles or other users and don't report them, so the chances are with the amount of traffic the site gets we won't see everything.
@DragonKnight: I can't speak for any other mods but the reason why I don't approve articles much now I'm a mod is...
Come on guys he was just having a laugh, besides he's done nothing wrong bar trolling people over the internet, if anything it's impressive (and at the same time pathetic) how much attention a simple video like this got.

I am ahker88 and Batzi from IGN boards and Neogaf. I didn't do this to troll you or just to have fun. I did it to prove a point which I will explain in detail later. The purpose of this new video was to simply debunk the previous one and make it go from 80% legit to 80% fake. Again it was inten...
The person that submitted this article is the one that made the videos lol.
Portable Ops and Peace Walker are not spin-off games.
Well Metal Gear Solid 3 will have been released about 5 times in 10 years when the Legacy Collection comes out (and I'm even ignoring region-specific collections here). I think that might be regarded as milking.
@Blacktrix: You get free games for a fee of $60 don't you? Perhaps you should look up the definition of the word "free".
I'm not defending Microsoft's pricing by any means (realistically they shouldn't even be charging anything more than €10-€15 a year for me), but you guys don't seem to know the difference between what is free and what isn't.
The same way people can justify losing access to games they've got from PS+ after their subscription runs out.
You mean the re-release of the re-release?
Yeah because that whole tiff between them wasn't a joke or anything (just wait, you'll see). Also I'm sure the director of a video-game that pays voice-actors will go running to someone he pissed off and say "oh please sir, won't you take my bags of money sir?" as if his life depended on it. Then again some people seem to think Hayter is owed some sort of lifetime position with MGS or something even if he was to be dropped. He's a voice actor, it's his job. W...
You guys need to relax. First of all this isn't really anything new, when Matsuda stepped in he already alluded to the changes that the company will see due to their poor performances this generation on their larger projects (i.e. console and PC titles) and due to their decent performance on IOS games and things of a similar ilk.
Secondly this is only 'part' of their strategy. If you read the article you'll see that they're not by any means cutting off the...
