Take out the sex designed specifically for lonely men/horny teenagers and the over the top personalized violence and you got a single-character story driven open world rpg much like many other games of it's kind.
..I don't know if one can realistically say it's overrated, as long as they say it's only as good as any Elder Scrolls/Fallout game.

You don't have to like the game, but if you know enough about video games to give an intelligent opinion about them, you'll clearly see why the rest of the world outside of N4G/your preference loves the game.

Not really, Horizon is mentioned in every single BOTW article that's ever been posted on N4G.
The only difference is I'm not bringing it up to praise it or it's developers.

BOTW is factually one of the greatest video games ever created. Your inability to see that simply because it's not doing what you've grown to expect from the series is a really conservative, un-evolving, poor excuse.
It blows me away how some people are forcing themselves to forget all the amazing things this game did that no other game is trying to do, and just flat out say it's not as good as OOT because it doesn't have classic dungeons...
If you took away all the angry Sony trolls mad because Horizon doesn't even come close to matching up, this game would be near a perfect 10 user score on Meta.

..There's legitimate difficulty like in Bloodborne, which has it's entire experience catered to one difficulty, which the developers test rigorously until it feels, "challenging". And then there's building a game for easy/normal mode, and then just lazily increasing mob hp/damage by 500% on hard because they don't want to go back and develop the gameplay all over again.
