At least treyarch is honest. I liked CoD much better before it got so damned popular (lolhipster) and then they mainstreamed it for all the dudebro gamers. There's just way too much crap going on for it to be truly competitive. Hundreds of thousands of people play Counter-Strike and Quake in tourneys and online to this day. That's because they're perfectly balanced and very competitive, take actual true talent to play, and are just flat-out fun. Call of Duty nowadays has a billion...
Half-Life isn't a co-op game. Well, besides Decay, which was actually pretty awesome. I don't mind side-story co-op at all, like Decay, but Gordon's story is...Gordon's story. No reason why Barney or some random dude should be riding his balls the entire game.
Beating Grenade of Grenade: Grenade at Grenade on Veteran difficulty. Also beating that same thing in co-op.
Silent Hill 3 on Extreme X.
Killzone 1 on Hard mode. Killzone 2 on Elite.
Syphon Filter 2 hard mode.
I've always wondered what the potions and elixers from Final Fantasy tasted like...As well as the Ampoules from Silent Hill.
"Arrow to the knee" is officially the DUMBEST meme I've ever witnessed, it wasn't funny in any shape or form, so I dunno how it caught on. That dumbass meme is in every youtube video's comment section, but what can you expect from youtube commentators anyway, lol.
I know, that's why I play Counter-Strike. One of the few decent tactical games out there. It doesn't reward people for any scrubbery like in CoD. If I die in CS, it's because I myself did something wrong, not because I was spawned in a retarded location or I got packed in the face by a missile from a drone in the sky, lol.
Agreed 100%. I only play CS, UT, and Quake when it comes to FPS nowadays, I'm sick of CoD. I can't wait to play CS: GO.
Modern War FPS needs to just die already.
I love KZ1's sniper rifle, it took skill and time to get good with it. Reminds me of TS2's sniper system. It wasn't as simple as CoD's trashy, scrub-centered "oh just hit the aim button and press the fire button, lolol" stuff.
Did you play it? It was a way of life game for me, the multiplayer was amazing. The only real problem with the game was the inconsistent framerate. I was hoping for an HD remaster, which could have the game at 60fps or at least 30fps at all times, but I guess not.
Yup. We got on and played on Christmas Eve to celebrate lol. Still a few people playing, surprisingly.
I hope it's an HD remaster. My friends and I still play it online to this day, have been since Nov. 04 when it released. The main problem with the original game is that... it was meant for PS2.5, not PS2. The PS2 just couldn't keep up with the beast visuals. The framerate was really jerky and inconsistent as a result. An HD remaster wouldn't have that issue, so hopefully this isn't a PS2 Classic.
I dunno how this could possibly even be a PS2 Classic anyway sin...
Unless you have some 100+ in. TV and actual native 4K content to view on it, good luck actually enjoying such a feature. That res would be completely, absolutely POINTLESS on the TV sizes we have nowadays, so I see no point in this. I think the PS4 should do 2560x1200, but I can see them allowing 4K video out or something for movies, presentations or what have you. Games on that res would be "sick" to people who have no idea why a res like that is useless now, but it'd just be a...
What world have you been living in? Past four years have been pretty damn productive and successful for Sony.
@People
There are some hacked lobbies on CoD4, and while they are annoying, they're few and far between, and all you have to usually do is either leave and join a new game or in severe cases, go back to single-player and re-load multiplayer.
Still, CoD4 is better than each release that came after it.
SF4 happened years ago, it's called The Omega Strain lol.
But yeah, they kinda confirmed some SCEE studio is working on it. Thankfully, though I'd rather Sony Bend, the original devs. Guess I'll take whatever I can get though. That LS cliffhanger was BS.
I LOL'd so hard at Modern Paddles and Paddlefield.
Last CoD I bought was MW2, that was enough for me to know they don't give a fuck about the game quality or balance or anything, so no, I'm NOT buying it again.
Hmm. Maybe they'll hack the Vita and get a similar version of PCSX2 on it. I'd love for them to hack the Vita to open it up more, homebrew and apps are awesome, but at the same time it would inevitably lead to ROM hacks and ISOs, so piracy. Don't really want the Vita to go the way of PSP and have devs stop supporting it.

Don't kid yourself, CoD is mostly popular because of how easy and accessible it is. A lot of people don't play barebones/classic because they don't even know it's there. I've told sooo many people about and they were like "What, the game has that?"
CoD is a broken game no matter what way you try to twist it. Gamers these days have no clue about the history of FPS or any actual FPS that takes real skill to play, they just know about CoD and all of...
