Haven't played DA2, but from reading the comments I think I have a grasp of whats going on.
I myself think it is great that there are both heterosexual and homosexual relationships in the game. At the same time however, it sounds like it is hard to establish just purely a male-male friendship. Looking back at DA:O, I really like how the relationship with Zevran was handled, he expressed a level of interest in you, despite your gender or sexuality, if you turned him down...
"They were even terrible in back in Kotor."
There weren't any in KotOR...
I have a friend who is so hung up on Halo that he wont even touch Heavy Rain. What a shame...
Wow, God forbid we have a medium that grows and evolves to be something more than it is or what is was originally intended to be. It just goes to show some people are still stuck in archaic ways and don't want games on par with movies and television; some people don't want that level of respect given to this medium. Toys are "whimsy," interactive experiences aren't. Probably the same type of person that would say "if you want story go read a book." God, I can...
No. No they do not.
There is nothing wrong with an FPS being " linear and scripted." Ill take that iver cutscenes anyday.
ARPG? You mean WRPGs?
I'd say Drake's Fortune for best Third Person Action; UC2 is so much more than just a "game."
"As for kotor 3....don't do any of the mp aspects and it's kotor 3-8 so they say since each class gets a unique story with some coming together at the flashpoints (instances)"
The KotOR 3-12 comment is only referring to the sheer amount of content. TOR doesn't replace a KotOR 3, it looks like it wants to be its own thing, I say let it.
I really like the Real-time better. It doesn't break the momentum.
This is what BioWare means by First Person RPG.

(go to the 4:15 mark to get the terminology.)
Not First person view.
In what context do you mean "First person RPG?"
I thought you guys were all about "showing, not telling." Show us something then!!!
I haven't played my copy yet, but I have heard bad things. Supposed to be a really good game but a terrible sequel. Shouldn't have changed the formula and passed it off as a successor, BioWare. You have listened to your fans in the past, do so again. If you do a DA3, make it like origins and not Mass Effect. You helped create the First person RPG, don't kill it.
Clearly you never played their older stuff.
I wouldn't really say "rushed" to describe the trend in scores. The biggest complaint I have heard is that they mainstreamed it. BioWare killed the 1st person RPG, something that they were famous with. When it comes to making a sequel, you build upon, not revamp entirely.
Yeah, a "handheld" console. Never was the issue Xbox vs. PS, if anything you made it that with your desire to switch the conversation. The main point is, neither of the two series ever had exclusive claim to one console manufacture.
"Yet majority of the series was on the PS2."
Well, actually 2(four if you want to count 11 and 10-2.)That's such a weak argument, regardless of the "majority", other consoles still got in on these games. The GameCube got "The Twin Snakes" and the 3DS is about to get "Snake Eater." While there might not have been that many FF for the Xbox, look at how many FF Nintendo consoles had.
Yeah, too bad Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid were never exclusive series in the first place. Afterall, I enjoyed the first six FF on my Nintendo systems and really liked playing Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance on my Xbox.
In response to the clip, and making us find it ourselves...
