But glad to have found pre owned copies. Played them on my UK 60 GB PS3 and ran smoothly. No flaws or hiccups what so ever.
And they were both incrrrredible! Such in-depth story and pacing. almost flawless and fun most of all. PSP was pretty good too but way short compared to the PS2 versions.
GOW1 last 9 hrs.
GOW2 a wopping 12 hrs.

Dammmmn for losing out on the 25-50GB of space. Think of all the extra radios, voice, and uncompressed textures there could have been.

I strongly agree. And that is also the same reason I support Playstation as a whole. New IPs can be a very big motivation factor for both the gamer and the developers to keep at it, to keep the gaming market alive and interesting.

The 360 no longer even has a way of playing a HD optical media. THat was a little short while ago in case you didn't know.
Sure the mums and dads know exactly what they're getting into. They say "Oh look a console that has missing peaces needs to be brought in order to make it fully functional. We choose the 360 because we know it will cost more than the competition". ¬_¬

it's not the quality, the games, or the brand. It's the "motion controls" that continue(d) to sell and hype the Wii. I expected that single factor to die off just like any game would that sells system.
But it's obviously different and we were all gobsmack at how it maintained it's longevity as a system seller.
I think we are safe now to say that the hype has died down for the "motion control" including the Wiiboard.
For the Wii's gimmick to die off(finally!) and mums and dads to finally use their own common sense. ameen
