No kidding.. 99% of them don't even know the difference between ddr3 and gddr5. Just whatever propaganda they read.
Gddr5 is graphical memory. Its widely used in video cards as dedicated ram. However it has NEVER been used for any other purpose. Sony is relying on it to run their entire os.
It is higher bandwidth but high latency as well.. Ps4 will suffer from this. Cerny says it won't be an issue but that's a pretty big and baseless claim.
And actually.. You can save whatever data you want on a external HDD..
All my borderlands 2 data is on a flash drive.. I must be a witch to have made that happen.. Lol

But these devs need to get over themselves. People have tons of questions about their offerings that never get answered..

Ps4 needs to do everything locally. So it needs more power..
As for the cost issue.. Ms could afford to sell the damn things for $99.99 and still post profits.. But it isn't financially responsible to do so.. They are making a profit on each console, tho just like Sony that could be $3.
