The answer is... "He runs a GAMING WEBSITE. If he doesn't own an Xbox 360 then he is closed off from approximately 1/6th of all video games that come out (ps3, 360, wii, pc, ds, psp). Not to mention that most of gamers that are going to goto his site are going to be ps3/360 own...
I actually prefer the streaming too. Just because I don't want to clutter my game system with duplicates of files already on my PC.
HOWEVER,
The 360 needs to improve the way it streams, or processes the files, or SOMETHING; because I have been streaming my stuff off it a couple of times since the update and I occasionally get distorted music and/or picture due to the lag in the processing. I used a wired connection and everything, so signal strength isn't an issu...

and if you do, have you tried it yet? It's not flawless by any means. I run a hard wired connection to it and it still breaks up every once in awhile, processing the stream.

Seriously... I don't care if it got all 10's... Regardless of how "innovative" or "fresh" the method is... Nintendo is re-hashing the same characters over and over. While it's great for the young kids just exeriencing the fun I got to have when I was young with Mario... for those of us that have been playing forever... I just don't care about Mario anymore.

I hate to say it, but a bunch of gamers claiming they aren't going to buy mountain dew because they support gamespot isn't going to do anything. if they hurt Mt. Dew's sales bye half a percent I'd be in awe. They are all going to talk about it, then for a week people will support it, then it will go back to normal...
This game has a lot of potential. If they can give it the "evolving, living, interacting" environments and ai that game companies have been reaching for more and more lately, then it will be great. I imagine there will be a whole "hunting" element, not that you'll get to kill, but you'll have to hunt the animals to get the pictures. I am still racking my brain as to what other cool game elements they could put int there to make this a hit.

If you're buying a 1080p HD DVD player it's only 100$ less expensive. People keep talking about the HD-a2 and HD-a3 because they sell for 100$-200$... They are so cheap because they are 1080p players... Why spend all that money on a new format and not take advantage of it??
