That is the dumbest statement I've heard today, and I've read the "Revenge of the PS3" comments with the fanboy wars.
This is the reason I own a PS3. I have said since day one that if they come out with a Twisted Metal for PS3 it would be 600$ well spent.
I mean how could they not?! It's simple. You take Twisted Metal, give it PS3 worthy graphics, give it 6-8 good maps, maybe a "create your own player" mode, throw in some random pointless plot to connect the missions, and you're done. It's a simple formula, but it made Twisted Metal: Black my most-played PS2 title.
I bow ...
^meaning they get it done right the first time.
Only in the UK.
Well said. +bubble for being articulate.
I am totally, 100% okay with this. There are plenty of good titles this year coming out for the PS3, I wouldn't want it to come out and potentially steal the spotlight of some of the other good stuff coming this year. If this year's lineup sucked, I would think differently, but this year = the win so far.
lol as i read it, i was going "aww wtf it's not here..." then i saw it, glowing in it's lameness there at the end. Napoleon Dynamite was a lame movie, the thought of a game made my brain vomit.
omg sony i know you hax!
:P
edit: I smile every time I think about the thousands of xbots and hundreds of articles singing at the top of their little feminine lungs, "600$ for a ps3? who the hell needs blu ray? we need an affordable machine! what a stupid decision by sony! I can't believe they would do that!!"
It just makes me happy deep down inside, a warm fuzzy feeling that can't be matched by much.
right.. halo 3 does not require skill. Counter Strike, TF2, Battlefield 2142, Rainbow Six, .... THOSE require skill. Anyone who was a fan of first person shooters before gaylo came out, or has put enough time into other shooters, knows that halo requires little skill and is a mediocre shooter.
lol that works
All these amazing, quality posts on here and nobody has stated the important thing about this!
I like ham.
That is all.
no he didn't.... pay attention.
wow I know this post is old but I'm replying anyway.
@ chfthnder26
yes 5 people are getting CRAP at an extremely affordable price, where they will be treated to extremely amazing features like "severely less available movies", and "wasting 150$ on a player for a format that all but has nails in the coffin".
Oh wait there is one more feature, in each box Toshiba has included a transcript with one ENTIRE page of text written by ...
This petition should be called the
"I invested in the wrong format, so now I am really dissapointed in my decision based on price instead of quality, and I really want HD-DVD to survive because I don't want the 1000 dollars of welfare money I spent at wal-mart on a 52 inch plasma, four 10$ hdmi cables, and the hd-dvd player to be a complete waste of money. On a side note I didn't use any of my welfare money to buy .25 cent condoms and because of that I now have ANOTHER ch...
I'm fairly certain after YEARS of DDR and 3 solid years of guitar hero and now the amazingly-epic rock band, that you can stop calling it a "fad" now. Unless gaming is a "fad", along with movies, books, and computers being "fads".
Yeah this is a stupid list. It starts out with " we all know you're anticipating these titles, but what about these?" and calls the list "games you didn't realize you wanted" then puts games like Battlefield, Haze, Burnout Paradise, etc on the list... I'm fairly certain everyone is aware of those titles and is psyched to get them. I mean the wii smash bros? rly? that's one of the only worthwhile titles coming out for the wii this year... so duh?
smells like they are trying to get rid of all of their product before the format is officially announced dead.
It's okay... All it means is that Microsoft is blatantly charging you for a service to your face, and saying "it doesn't have to work" and we all pay for it. It sucks, but I've learned to accept it because I'd rather have partially working fun than no fun.
I thought it was funny. "OMG! mah presentationz! Nohz!" As for "messing with someones livelihood".... Dude it was a multi-billion dollar company, aint nobody going to lose any money because of it and if they did it wouldn't be enough to be called a fraction of the bank those guys make anyway.
I've pretty much begun to think this "console war" is only continuing because it makes it's easy for every single blogsite, news site, and game commentator to write articles.
"Damn I can't think of anything creative or interesting today... oh well guess I'll make another article about the 'console war' ".
