Resident Evil 7 made people look at VR in a way where we can finally say to a new tech "this has IMMENSE potential" FO4 couldn't and wouldn't save VR, if anything RE7 kept VR from being just a tech demo onslaught of releases.
I haven't tried FO4 in VR, but if they can follow Capcom's steps and improve on that even (stupid darker visuals) Then FO4 has the potential to keep VR a thing till the next big app comes along.
While it was good, it had it's equal share of bad. They better come back extremely hard for FO5 or I won't even give a crap till it's on sale/bargain bin status. No excuses no to learn off who are doing better. CDPR comes to mind with this example.
FFXV is sold on 2 platforms currently. FO4 is available on 3, including PC.
Very anticipated, released on 3 platforms that are breaking records over their successors... Wow. how did it sell so much? Lol. A bigger marketing budget I would also wager. The publisher is also a bigger player in the industry, than when FO3/NV released.

Why the hell not? The more they push early release, the worse games will be. Look at ME: Andromeda. as the most recent example. At very least, there is no season pass and they seem to be intent on releasing some stuff for free.

With 60-65 million sold, it still needs another 90-95 million to go. Plenty of opportunity for a drop off. it's 2017 and the PS4 released at the end of 2013. While I don't doubt for a moment it can surpass the Wii, I do have my reservations about PS2, regardless of how well it's doing right now. There is too much time for a drop off.
