true.
it's stupid if people really get upset over this kind of stuff. there are more important things in life to invest emotions on rather than worrying about this.
fanboyism is a plague that needs to be eradicated from the gamers' minds.
games are meant to make friends not enemies, that's how we used to do it back in our days and that's how it should always be.
people fighting over this kind of things is pathetic and stupid. fanboyism is the cancer of the gaming community, makes me miss the 80's and 90's when all we cared about is playing and sharing our games. let the companies worry about what's good for them.
live and let live.
I agree. let's see how the game will end up being, i'm looking forward to it but with moderate expectations.
I asked the same question sometime ago and some people called me crazy because to them Doom was funny and not horrifying. it seems we played two different versions of the game.
glad to know I wasn't the crazy one.. or at least i'm not the only one!
maybe Doom isn't a Horror game but it had a tense and terrifying atmosphere that evoked similar experience.
sad day for gaming.
very promising.
it would be nice if I get the chance to play good sequels of the games I loved before my time is completely gone.
that line never gets old.
Konami seem to have lost its creativity and are on life-support by the now-expired MGS. let this cow regain some milk, make new IPs or bring back old classics:
- Silent Hill
- Castlevania
- Zone of the Enders
- Gradius
- Contra
etc.
you have outstanding variety, use it.
hala brother,
because of doom and quake. doom was a new and a leveling experience for me at its time, I never played or seen anything like it before.
Carmack is one of the best at what he does but he always sounded like a coding nerd more than anything else, Romero on the other hand was the gamer and is a fun guy. I believe he is one of the direct reasons why doom was a fun game.
check some of his interviews, you'll feel you're listen...
as Alucard would say: "I'm interested in this."
good game, looking forward to it.
some of gaming's greatest experiences.
welcome back John and good luck.
both were good and fun games.
One if not the richest and deepest story in gaming history, I fell on my knees when Raziel finally realized his destiny and accepted his fate, his last words to Kain near the end were heart breaking yet fulfilling.
and the ending itself, i wish we got one more game to wrap it all but if that is really it then it don't get better than this, it was Art.
Soul Edge
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
Chrono Cross
Final Fantasy VII
Onimusha trilogy
there's more.. somewhere in some corners of my memories
the game is beautiful and it started out fun and addicting. it may feel repetitive later on but the story and new unlocked characters keeps you going and it remains entertaining.
in my experience, I was disappointed with Oswald. they hyped him pretty well in the story and I though his gameplay would be quite the fun experience, but he was difficult to control and his special move only lasted a fraction of a second. unfortunately this is where I left the game and never retur...
I agree with you.
I sent them a message in the beginning of Kickstarter saying it's very important to stay faithful to the original models because this is how we remember them and how we liked them. their answer was these are early stage models and things will improve. I wasn't convinced by this reply, how hard is it to copy an existing model?! why don't you just do it and make the fans feel comfortable?
I have a hope of a perfect Shenmue III, but...
like today? I don't think so, at least not around these parts. in the end we all were just gamers sharing and comparing our overall gaming experiences and not practicing blind and meaningless worshiping.
