VR "game". Discounted to under $20. Yep, business as usual.

The endless and unachievable quest of discovering WoW's next great pinnacle of MMO gameplay is still alive and kicking for some people I guess. Continue the downward spiral WoW.

Good god. More mobile vomit from Japan's worst publisher.

Yes, worse than Konami. At least Konami knew when to pretty much get the hell out of the business.

SE sticks around to stink up the place with endless mobile shovelware.

The last truly great and special game this company internally developed, still carried the name "Squaresoft".

You had me up until "/jk".

You could have ended the question here instead: "Do We Really Need Mobile Games?"

Um... last I checked, Valve is privately owned. You don't just walk up and buy them at will. Not to say Gabe may not take an offer, but, highly doubtful given his comments in the past.

EA on the other hand, I mean really, could MS make them any worse than they are? Highly unlikely. Does MS want to inherit their 25 year legacy of being the bane of the gaming hobby, and invest in having to clean it up? Likely not either.

This PUBG crap is a fad ...

Good god. This company just makes me wanna throw up. Here's hoping 2018 kicks you right in the nads EA. I'll be popping a champagne bottle to your demise someday.

Who doesn't SE try to "crossover" FF with? Is the brand in that big of trouble that it needs more recognition?

What's next? Final Fantasy x NFL Football? Final Fantasy x Call of Duty? So desperate SE.

The cloud....... the Cloud!!!....... DA CLOUD!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm still waiting to see the promised land that MS showcased with "the cloud" some what..... 5 years ago now?

".....that scale with their games and help them engage, retain and "monetize" (a.k.a. siphon their wallets) players. PlayFab enables developers to use the intelligent cloud to build and operate games, analyze gaming data and improve overall money siphoning potential."

Of course. Who ever thought that putting 100% control of anything in to a single storefront, isn't good for everyone? Didn't we all play Monopoly as a kid and just LOVE it?

Thankfully, this won't get off the ground, and is a hilarious, and really, embarrassingly desperate move by M$ to keep the XBox name anywhere near worth talking about.

I feel bad for the writer of this........... thing............ and the brain damage he or she suffers f...

Let's see here. We have about 35 years of EA to look back on.

They were a genuinely good and well likely game developer and publisher for about 10 of those years, as they were trying to build themselves up. That leaves about 25 years now, of them getting progressively worse, and worse, and worse.

So, I'm inclined to say, no, they will not "Win Back Gamers in 2018", nor any other year in the foreseeable future. I also genuinely...

"Where did you get all the micro transactions stuff from? "

It's called a "track record".

New concept. You see, when a company has a history of regularly doing something, you can safely begin to assume they will continue to do it. Crazy isn't it?

Given that SE is one of the most hilariously delusion publishers out there, when it comes to assessing the value of their own products, it's a pretty safe c...

Microsoft's new "Game Pass" is the desperation of a losing console. Nothing more.

2935d ago 3 agree2 disagreeView comment

Um... no. Desperate move by MS to drudge up any momentum it possibly can, for a sunken ship this gen.

Xbox is still viable in the grand scheme, but this generation war is over. MS wants to drum up any "good will / hey look how nice we are" attention in preparation for next gen systems.

Nothing would be worse than to leave Xbox on cruise control into the next phase of hardware. Given that it's likely 2 years away? I think MS has...

You before everything became an "experience" ? Ya, I miss those days.

I'm beyond tired of marketing buzzword garbage polluting the way people talk about GAMES.

Like everything else in capitalist society, it's all "marketing". It doesn't just apply to this, but it does apply to this also.

They use the words that will invoke the most viewership and support of whatever garbage they're trying to sell. Anyone with a brain that is beyond powering their body's basic motor functions, tends to see right through marketing. Here we are though, with people who try to defend this trash.
