SOLD!!
I'm on my 4th Xbox 360, BTW.
I don't know about you but I paid $600 for my PS3.
I also subscribe to PSN+.
In 2012 Xbox 360 will get a slew of superior multi-console ports, and a handful of yet to be announced exclusives, and a ton of kinect games. Spinkle in a few XBLA titles and retail momentum in NA and EU and you've got enough to coast on for another year.
Plus there's stuff like Halo 4 and the next Alan Wake title. And yearly releases like Madden and Call of Duty.
Personally, I wish Xbox Next (X10) was launching this year, as originally planned. B...
In about two years time we'll all be gaming on tablets.
Most gamers I know are reasonable, open minded people.
Sadly, the hobby will always be plagued with hateful, narrow minded, fanboy idiots. Professional sports has the same problem. It makes me wonder, if people from NY and people from Boston didn't hate each other so much, would anyone give a damn about Yankees VS Red Sox? Just an example...
And yet even after all that preaching, you still fail to see the bigger picture. There is a sea change coming, and you're not part of it.
Ignore.
If its true, its about damn time.
Well, I'm not going to explain the bigger picture. You probably already know what's going on.
I'll just say that "hardcore gamer" is a label I would happily self apply, if I still believed in labels.
"did Microsoft's Kinect turn out to be a success or failure?"
The sales figures say "yes." The bawing of the angsty, hateful fanboys says "no."
The world is leaving you behind hardcore gamers, and its all your own fault.
GTA V this year = Yes.
Xbox 10 = Revealed this year, released early 2013.
The Vita will succeed if Sony gives it enough publicity. It already has the best launch line up since the Dreamcast. Too many great games to play. All it needs is exposure.
PS4 is a trick question because first, it won't have "4" in the title, and second, it's not a game console.
This is one of the few times Pachter is right.
There is also an extremely vocal group of people who want this game to fail. In that group there are pundits, fanboys, and corporate shills. Oh, and Activision... Something about bitter grapes.
I've always wanted to go to Russia. Amazing history, unique culture, beautiful women, but I don't think I would use the internet the entire time I was there. Hackers everywhere.
I wouldn't care if we never saw another Final Fantasy game.
Speak for yourself. I know plenty about the WiiU.
Well the WiiU is going to have a pretty easy time. Its going to launch alone this year, despite early indications that Xbox 10 would launch in 2012. Having the 2012 Holiday Season alone will help it just like the same situation helped the 3DS. (There was no "hot toy" this season, nothing else to buy. People wanted something new, and that really helped 3DS.)
The story is true but the bigger news is that the game is not just for one console.
Actually this was discovered on a final fantasy fan site before it was mentioned on gaf.
Market saturation.
The iPhone sells a ton, but not everyone who buys one uses it to play games.
With all the buzz around Apple lately, its good to remember that Steve Jobs didn't really care if people played video games on his hardware or not. He was very indifferent about the subject.
With that said, I love my iPhone 4s, I can't take my hands off it. And its one of the best and most unique portable gaming devices I have ever owned in my entire life.
