Pacther is so off base, so out of touch, that I now question his credibility as an analyst. There is something so obvious about the Wii U, something he should already know. The fact that he doesn't address this factor is astonishing for me.

Cross play is merely an extension of the Remote Play idea. So I'd say Sony beat Nintendo "to the punch" several years ago.
Of course the whole idea was born from and evolved from the idea of console>handheld connectivity. So the true argument of who did what first is still up for debate.
People who still think this battle is Sony VS Nintendo are living in the past.
If you believe his comments on the Wii U then you must also believe his comments on the PS Vita, which he predicted would be "dead on arrival."
This will put many fanboys at conflict, because Nintendo haters will want to believe him regarding the Wii-U, and Sony haters will want to believe him regarding the PS Vita.
But guess what kids? You can't have it both ways.
Kinect may be fun, I know I love mine, but next gen wont run on motion controls. Its all about tablets and social content. Get ready...

Good timing on this article. Many of these games can also be played on the PS Vita, and some of them look amazing. Its worth replaying certain PSP titles on the Vita just for the superior screen and D-Pad.
