I miss when the game were like that. SR2 had the perfect balance. When a game is serious and has some crazy things in there you'll appreciate it more. When the game is just crazy it gets boring real fast, example: SR3.

I wonder how much Microsoft paid for DR3 exclusivity? Normally Capcom would rather put the games out on both systems then do exclusive DLC for the systems.
Puhlease! SR3/4 has to have one of the worst open-world games ever. This game is based off of the SR3 engine and you know how lacking that engine was. All the stores were the same, the environment looked the same, there were only like 10 character models for pedestrians and like 6 for the gangs, the pedestrians didn't talk or do anything exciting, weapons were lacking, and the side missions were severely lacking. I still don't trust EA. We know their stance on DRM, just look at SimCity.
I think the problem with SR4 is that it was already deep in development when 3 came out. They just went a head and release SR4 and is saving face for the whole "immature" tone of the game. When SR5 comes out I see the tone being more like SR2.
Once they drop the Saints Row name then I'll stop expecting it to be.

Exactly! Loved the first two and still play them today! I probably have 160+ hrs on each game. SR3 last time I checked (last yr) I only played for 20hrs.
I guess I'm pretty much done with the series. This isn't what the series use to be in Sr/Sr2...

Not the best reasons...Saint's Row customization has been downgraded majorly when SR3 came out. Also Steelport has to be one of the worst cities ever in an open world game.
