Yes it is the future. I ddnt say i like it. I merely said games are going that direction. I dont even know anyone anymore that wants to come over and split screen play. They all want to play online if we play together. It is the way things will be. VR isnt going to help as it will be a further leap towards playing by yourself instead of face to face.
Games were 2D side scrollers basically for over a decade. Why did they change it in the mid to late 90s to 3D gaming? Because it was the future buddy. The fact is that there arent enough people like you and your wife in this world anymore that makes it worth keeping an option that keeps the fidelity of a game down. The future is online gaming at 1080P 60 FPS. Not Couch Co Op.

I disagree. If they do that then in 3 years or so they are back to where the Wii u was, underpowered and left behind by people moving on to newer tech. It must be able to hold its own for 5 years. Anything less than PS4 will be obsolete and left behind in a few years. Then two years of everyone ditching it for next Xbox and PS5.

Yes but the gamecube was a gimmicky console as well and people wont admit it. Minidiscs! Really!? No one else on the planet was developing games on those stupid things and because of it this world passed them by and in a year or so the GC suffered for it. No one wanted to develop on Minidiscs they wanted DVDs. So yes Nintendo made a powerful system but tried againt to cash in on a fad that blew up in their face.

The problem with that theory is that nintendo always announces a new console on the fourth year of their current one. So either it is a stroke of genius to distract us with the NX and it actually be a handheld and then announce a new home Console for 2017 also at the same time or it is actually the Wii U replacement.

Obviously Mighty No 9 is going to be a great game and looks cooler than anything Capcom has made with a Mega Man name on it in a long time. But at it's core you have to agree that it is a robotic guy that shoots energy of some sort out of a gun that is his arm. Come on man...That is Mega Man! Honestly I am beginning to believe you are right. there is just so much misinformation and conflicting reports from everyone, including Nintendo, that I don't know what to believe anymore. Early on I read that the NX wouldn't compete with the Wii U. Now it would seem that, with so many huge games not being shown yet, the NX may be a DIRECT competitor, or a flat out replacement, of the Wii U.

Ok so I have been going over these deals extensively and I do not see anything that screams AMAZING. Some of them are good like the Tell Tale games and Ori. However, the rest of them are basically what you can get already. I can get a physical copy of Dragon Age Inquisition on Amazon for $29.99. I for one thought the switching from one style of vehicle to another looked really interesting and though there was a lot of action going on. Besides, name one other game like this on any of the big 3 consoles out. There are virtually zero 3D Space fighting games out right now. Maybe one obscure one here and there.

There may be more deals but will those deals be as good as Black Friday deals? Quantity isnt necessarily the main concern. It is the quality of those deals. This sale could end up being just 10 percent off every item on Amazon. That would certainly be more deals than Black Friday, but it would not be that incredible. We will wait and see.
There isnt a single Metroid gamer that said they wanted something different. They were all wanting a return of Samus in the first person or some form of it. Not this. Not even close. If the Xbox community can be in an uproar over split screen being removed from the newest Halo then we can for dam sure be in an uproar over the newest metroid game in over 5 years being on the 3DS and not have Samus in it and not even be a proper looking game.
