Good Stuff!
..."Frostbite 2 is not about this effect or that effect. It's not a lighting engine nor a destruction engine. It's all of the above. Like Crysis, it synthesized all the knowledge that had been built up over the years into a single, pristine package. And years from now, when we look back, it will be Battlefield 3 that will be remembered as the game that defined the look for a whole generation."
Dont compare DICE to Infinity fart/Treyarch please. On PC, I can play the Beta on Ultra and it's glorious. However, Activision shitmess BlackOps was completely unplayble DAY 1 Release. IT WAS A POWERPOINT SLIDESHOW FOR EVERYONE. To this day, it is a performance flaw. There was no beta, no demo, just a " OUR GAME IS LEET!" If you like CRAPtivision so much, and talk about it so much, why even read these stories?
Say NO to Trolls!

Very well said Fishy.
This guy said he worked at EA. You'd think he'd be savvy enough to adjust his video settings. This was not an issue on my PC.
I guess it's good to expect a patch. That would be because the beta shed light on a few bugs in the battlelog and in-game glitches. I guess that's why they call it a beta. DUH. Yes most people rightfully believe the terrain glitch will be fixed, DICE said they would even be able to fix it in the beta.
The Alpha had far fewer players to test battlelog. The open beta is to let loose all the players to test server load and find glitches that might not have been found...
It's a beta, not a demo. Nitpicking a beta is foolish, especially since the Developers explicity told everyone its not the final product. trollololololol
Good, you're stupid.
Dice has stated they have the ability to change and tweak the engine up until launch. The Beta will absolutely serve as a back-end test and a client side test. they are listening, and have been listening to customer feedback since the Alpha. Maybe some companies get the definition of a 'Beta' wrong, but not DICE.
I think it's the community, fans and gamers that are more often confused with the term.
A 'Beta' is a work in progress, a ...
I played the alpha and I can honestly say it felt different than BC2. The avatar movement felt very quick and precise. The Hit detection was very very good. (killing multiple enemies with a single clip.)
I was also skeptical about that and you dont need to worry. The movements are good.
A couple things to consider:
- Engineers can be equipped with Anti Air missiles instead of the dumb target dart gun from BC2.
- All guns h...
Im talking about Battlefield Vietnam (BC2 expansion) for example as a DLC, Im not talking about CoD's "elite" services, mkkkay?
It is all speculation and DICE never once said there would be a charge. They did say it would be COMPLETELY FREE. Bunch a whiners. I never said I agreed with the idea of charging someone monthly/yearly fees on top of the purchase of the game you fool. (Save for some MMO's)
EA will make extra cash through DLC, not by charging extra cash for an "elite Battlelog" It's dumb, unnecessary, and doesn't add value to the game. hard core gamers will play BF3 anyway. derrrp
Companies follow good companies, so maybe Activision will make a decent game in a few years.
I swear I've seen this article before?
No host based, you'll be connecting to a server.
Most of that article was pure speculation.
There will be more destruction in BF3 than in other BF games, but not to the point where its a completely flattened map. They've paid more attention to the after-effects this time.
Same since 2007

They've had 4+ years to work on things. the first game was by far the best. BF3 is the new and true breed of FPS.
Oh that would be awesome.
^LOL!
derp derp whuts alpha?
Some people cant distinguish the easiest things!
This just proves a few things:
-Sometimes if you want the best graphics, you need to pay to play.
-The guy played the alpha at home on a mid range PC, then went to PAX. He then cries that his mid range PC doesnt look as good as a high end PC
-The Guy played the same map at PAX as he did at home, so there wasnt much change from what he had seen "underwhelmed"
-they guy had his travel expense paid for and was with fr...
Good points. I can remember when I got Black Ops. I remember thinking my PC was having a hardware failure when infact it was the game, and thousands upon thousands had the same issue. It was not a good experience for me. I have played all of the CoD games and Battlefield Games. I appreciate that DICE has been the sole developer. It shows they have dedication.
