Absolutely correct, the only other game that still is played after 12 years is quake 3

Agreed, quake 3 is the best multiplayer ever, in my opinion, and dont disagree if you haven't played it, but I think the fact that thousands still play it, is a testament to this.
Agreed, rage is completely different from doom, if DOOM 4 comes and pushes pc graphics and has the same gameplay style then i will get it. BTW, awesome quake 3 avatar, i love that game

good! we got another pc gamer on this site! Also pc gaming can be cheap actually, with some clever shopping i have figured out how to build a gaming pc for 520$ with a GTX 560 TI, and A phenom 965 BE 3.4 ghz
Well pc will always thrive because of modders. For instance, crysis 2 on pc with DX9 was okay, but once maldo made his texture pack and they added DX 11, the game absolutely looked phenomenal. Also if I dont like something about a pc game, i can use the game's engine and modify the levels to my liking and easily push the graphic level way up.
