How is this making gaming worse? If you think that Sweet Baby is the reason why games fail then you also have to say they are also the reason games succeed.
Where is the gaming news here?
@crazyCoconuts
"I just think it's easier to ignore crap that you're not interested in instead of trying to make rules about what people can't talk about"
So N4G is a place for US politically motivated posts from a comic site?
"Did you see what the women from IGN said? Or the CEO of Sweet Baby Inc?"... But he said and she said and then they said... do you see what's happening here?
@crazyCoconuts
You just compared a Steam thread to sexual harassment!?!... Like I said, this is not Facebook
Have it based on actual gaming news and not a brain broken steam thread. This is not Facebook.
So N4G is a place for insane US identity politics now. The brain broken "fear of the other" BS should stay away, this is not a Facebook thread. This isn't gaming news it's a bunch of idiots trying to link two things together.
You miss the point completely. MS is a creativity bankrupt mega corp that gave up creating and are solely focusing on acquisition, when you get to the size of MS megamergers are how you effectively raise the stock price and buy market dominance. They want a premade business that just generates money and the mobile phone gaming market suits them far better, cheap money grabbers with little cost and thought that can be pumped out by the millions.
Xbox needs an owner that wants to make games and add to the industry. MS has never cared about the making games side only the money, they purchased two publishers that already release games on their system thinking that would bring more people to Xbox and take them away from competition, now they need that competition back buying the games they'd banned so to keep their publishers afloat... who'd of thought removing publishers biggest revenue generator in the console market wouldn'...
Sweeet... Bloodborne coming soon?... please.
I want MS to leave the industry completely so they don't buy up and merge even more of what used to be competing publishers. More and more of the industry being owned by MS means less competition and less innovation. Sell Xbox to a company that wants to add to and grow the industry .
Microsoft game studios, Activision Blizzard and Bethesda have merged and are no longer competing thanks to MS what do you think that does to innovation in the industry? MS going would be a good very good thing as the risk of more competing publishers being merged will be less likely.
I can't see how they can make Starfield an enjoyable game without a massive rebuild, better off waiting for Starfield 2. They need Flyable ships not just ones you pivot around a awful skybox, actual exploration, interesting missions that aren't just fast traveling to the next part, interesting companions, custom worlds not endless copy and past structures containing the same bad guys with the same loot in the same place, make the game look interesting as I've never seen anything s...
MS's mergers created the layoffs Activision, from Tyler Owens Respawn Entertainment "not exactly sure who it helps in the industry to acquire a company and then layoff 1900 of their developers Mr. Spencer"
The MS layoffs happened because of the mergers and the overlaps they created, MS's greed in wanting to buy up the industry created those layoffs. While laying off people sucks and is arguable, this is not for the same reasons.
@onFC
"MS won't care when 5m plus Nintendo/playstation fans buy the halo collection or 10m buy the gears games etc etc."
Exactly, Xbox is MS's smallest market. Now that they are buying up the industry firing thousands of devs and making a handful of extremely rich people even richer the Xbox hardware is kinda pointless. Their dream of making the gaming industry into a huge rental service is still the goal, so don't worry your wish could still ...
It's funny now MS is multiplatform it's own platform will be it's smallest customer base. They purchased publishers and studios that profit the least from Xbox and now MS is taking control away from Xbox heads and making multiplatform games multiplatform again!?!.. MS is the worst thing to ever happen to the gaming industry so far, lets see what damage their dream of rentals only does to gaming, their horrendous mergers have already crapped on the workforce and left fans of franch...
The major problem with MS is that it just wants to buy the industry, it doesn't want to add to it, it doesn't want to improve it, it just wants all the money and they'll do anything they can to turn the entire thing into a subscription service where you can only rent games.
I had a little drag and drop mod that did this, it's nice to see that I can do it through the filters now. It really makes a difference on games like Control that has some really washed out blacks making the game lose depth and look flat. Borderlands 2 looks great with it on, makes the colours pop and the 'splosion's are epic.
"Dude, Sony laid shut down multiple studios, canceled multiple games and laid off thousands of people over the last 5 years or so and you didn´t said sh!t! Come on! Prove me wrong!
MS just fired thousands of people because of their greed, they didn't need to buy Bethesda or Activision they could have spent that money making new IP's. Those people lost their jobs because of mergers and you compare it to something totally different, that's a textbook exa...
"I mean, I don't speak for what any site is for or not for."
You think that N4G News for gamers is a site that should include US identity politics? Have you noticed that these things only seem to happen around US election cycles when they are trying to force social divides for votes.
People fall for this trick every election cycle. A consultancy firm being used as a resource is apparently to blame for the state of gaming, not the mass acquis...
