I didn't just mean shooting mechanics. It goes beyond that, it was more in regards to the destructible environments the explosive weapons in bad company really feel like they pack a punch. Killzone 2 only seemed to have focused on the weight of the guns when it came to realism and neglected every other aspect of realism. It also appears that the weight of the guns doesn't apply to the AI as they can run and gun without a problem. I really like killzone but it's far from realistic....
They never speak of gameplay, its all in regards to graphics. and i've never heard anyone say gow3 killer. gow3 didn't look too great.
I'm tired of "killzone" being dubbed as "realistic"..... In youre case you stated more realistic. It really isn't, there are no realistic shooters out in the market on a console. There's a few games that try and accomplish realism in the fps genre but Killzone is not one of them, the closest we get is Bad company.
and features..
It's our fault thats what most of us buy.
as do I, I prefer tperson, here are my faves, UC1 and 2, splintercell, assassins creed, fable, mass effect series, heavy rain,
People fail to realize that the sales from these games, help fund new Ips or sequels it allows risk taking if need be. If you don't like sports games or sports, you could never understand why we pay for these games every year.... Well I only pay for NBA 2k.
Sports games offer the most replay value and the most wonderful thing is, that none of the gameplay is scripted.
NFL 2k will never happen again or at least not in this gen.
Uncharted 3 has some big shoes to fill I'm not saying it's possible but I don't see ND taking any risks that would make it better aside from the multiplayer.
I never saw that many enemies on screen at once in mag, everything was divided into sections. The most I saw was around 32.
Just tried mag out, and yes, it was disappointing. It played like a combination of MW and Battlefield, minus the things that make those games fun. It's not a bad game, but not good. I think they had an interesting idea, but came up short maybe when technology catches up to their vision we will see it done right.
Hey look at epic, with gears 10 mill and those games are amazing.
Uc2 is a great game, but the gameplay alone isnt what makes it great it's the whole package the wonderful graphics, the amazing scripted events it was all great together as a shooter it's not great and that's where mw2 has the upper hand.when it comes to Cod many people consider it to be AAA its a fastpaced shooter, with great controls that even mag tried to implement and now bc2 and possibly kz3 with great graphics, yes there are games out there with better graphics but mw visuals...
Damn, that's a massive amount of studios. That's also alot of salaries sony has to pay. As long as they keep pumping out games they'll be fine though.
UC2 sold very well, but that money has to go to Sony, and I'm not sure how many employees ND has, but it has to be distributed amongst them. not to mention all other expenses.
nope not even a rental, i played the demo and i by no means a graphics enthusiast but wow that game looks really horrible just looked unfinished.
How did it really happen? A lot of nasty things go on during war, my cousing was in the marines during that time and he told me some very disturbing stories, i'm not sure how they deal with half of the things they have had to do.. There's no way that they could be portrayed as unprofessional they are excellent killers it is what they do, that is their sole purpose as marines.
the graphics really stand out now, I must say i am impressed the guns look really great this is sure to be a treat.
lol I agree, but very few games actually revolutionize.
