some of the levels on Uncharted 2 were beautiful but considering the levels were about 1/5 of the size of reach I think reach is more impressive all the weapons produce great lighting in reach and the explosions and effects look amazing, in uc2 not so much well with the exception of the rain, I thought the rain was just stunning in uc2.

While I do understand what you are saying, there's a lot more variety in shooting games than in driving simulators.
I don't get the appeal of games like forza and gt all you do is drive around in on track, seems very boring. Cars are great don't get me wrong but I just don't get it.

lol yeah, and as much as I like killzone, I think thats the score it deserves. I played very few games this gen that I would give anything higher than a 9.
I would hardly consider some of those "games" games, most of them are nice demos, such as wii sports and yada yada. Nintendo isn't doing much different than MS, if anything Ms is taking a page from NIN book and just squeezing out sequels.
the thing is that the press has been so generous this gen with excessive 9's and 10's that an 8 just isnt good enough anymore. The reason most games get a free pass now a days, is because the graphics conceal the score they really deserve, if this game had visuals on par with gears or killzone it would be raining near perfect scores.

Lol I sold it too, its a very beautiful game but so are many others. People just need to get over their fanboyism and realize that there is other great looking games that aren't only on ps3.
