Because people fall for the same pre-order trap year after year, devs have gotten lazy and cheep and would rather release games now and patch it later.
However, with some companies like Nintendo it's an honest over-site and though it rarely happens they slip out (Skyward Sword's game breaking glitch).
The ones that's buggy and unplayable day one knows it's a mess and don't care but they want full pay for a half-assed job.

Man let's be real, Who was really checking for this game anyway?
I know there's Animal Crossing fans who want a game for Wii U but this game looks boring as all hell.
Lets forget that we had Smash,MK8,Tropical Freeze, Wooly World,Xenoblade X(coming in a few days) Splatoon and just focus on one game that's mediocre at best.
No one ever said they are infallible, but the good games mostly outweigh the bad ones and those bad ones rare...

My high school friend let me borrow it for a few days because I didn't believe Cloud was in it.
It blew my mind when I unlocked him but he was so OP in that game.
I'm glad that they didn't give him too much range with his Buster Sword.

I never liked Gannon in Smash.

The reason why Snake was added was because Kojima asked Sakuri for him to be in Melee but the game was finally done so he put in Brawl.
At the time we did get Twin Snakes as a timed exclusive for the GCN not to mention they were 2 games on the NES.
I personally don't want 3rd party characters to overtake the roster because Smash is a celebration of NINTENDO characters and it's fandoms.

If the game is coming to Nations where English is the primary language it wouldn't make much sense for a developer to have Japaneses voice acting as a primary option.
I can understand if you couldn't understand English but you don't seem to have that problem.
They want this game to appeal to a wider demographic and not everyone cares for subtitles or Japanese VA.

I wanted them to make new modes like Adventure mode like in Brawl or more custom music that you can buy to add to the stages (DK song choices were poor this time around).
