The article isn't blaming Microsoft for EA's actions mearly for condoning them. Since PS3 users are not yet forced to 'pay to play' all their games it's less of an issue for Sony, which is why the article focuses on the xbox.

I ordered the UK limited edition which came with an unlock code for the golden guns, the war horse, the deadly assasin's outfit and the soundtrack.
I got the guns and war horse, I haven't completed the challenges for the outfit yet but the list is there. However when I went to my PC to download the soundtrack the website proudly announced that I'd used the code, Doh I know, for the game extras but what about the flipping soundtrack I ask you!!!!

Nobody is saying that M$ have cheated. What they are saying is that, in spite of a year and a half head start, the 360 hasn't galloped off into the sales numbers distance.
