I think that the comparison is very apt. Devs have been saying this for ages. The 360 is easier to code for and allows basic functionality with minimum effort. The PS3 however is harder to code for and needs fine tuning, but the payoff is that it can perform like a beast for those skilled enough or diligent enough to coax the best out of it. 360 = Honda. PS3 = laborghini.

Honestly, I don't know why all of these articles about how lackluster the kinect is are coming out. If you read game sites, chances are you are a hardcore gamer, and Kinect is obviously NOT aiming fo the hardcore market. This is MS way of eating away at nintendo's market share. There really is nothing to get upset about or gloat about. It is being marketed to casuals an will probably do reasonably well. It does not have the mystique of the wii, but we can only wait and see.

Really, Sony should have a free weeklong retreat every 6 months and bring developers up to speed on all the new tricks and techniques their best programmers have learned to code for the ps3. Sone devs still seem to be in the dark on how to optimize their games for the ps3 and it shows. I think an information seminar would be beneficial for innovation across the board.
