Why is it so strange? They already stated that they missed their manufacturing window by 3-4 days which meant they have to start making disks and then figure out the best time to launch... Maybe they are waiting for the cod black ops madness to die off before saying anything as to not be overlooked... First of all they have off site back ups and they also have official hard copies of the gold that they keep in house.. Likelyhood of all backups being destroyed simultaneoulsy is not only far fetched but has never happened to any other game.. You are just getting people riled up for not.... Ohh ultimate loser is so advanced.. I replicate on screen actions and the game superficially tracks my calories and hear rate.. First of all there is no way on earth that kinect can determine how many calories you are burning.. Secondly how can it determine your heart rate?? Thats so stupid, but of course everyone is going to watch that and be like omg that is so advanced and it doesnt do anything but show you moves to mimic... These fitness games are the dumbest thing to happen to video game...
warhawk supports up to 32 players... I buried over 700 hours into that game and the servers, while inconsistent in the begining, are near bulletproof as of 2008.... But the whole dedicated servers debate is rather silly, the publishers decided what kind of server set up to use because they are the ones paying for it.. MOst companies utilize client servers.. They pay a company to run and maintain servers off site since it's cheaper but is less efficient... But yes there are a few big name ...
I expect a decent jump in november sales for the psp due to ghost of sparta... I know I personally bought a ghost of sparta psp and it's awesome.. Non stop ghost of sparta and chains of olympus.. GoS is as good as a ps3 title, the level design is organic, the pacing is pitch perfect, the sound is incredible, combat is fluid, and the best graphics for a handheld game ever... Ghost of sparta is THE reason to own a psp and I'm more then happy I plunked down 200 for one... Yay sony..
I know what you mean but with every jump in technology there has been those doubters that say "why?" but usually the new tech proves to be a great addition to the entertainment world.. When we whent from records-cd's, vhs-dvd's, sd-hd, 2d-3d... My point is that I'm open to this idea because I want to see how it will fit into the big ole picture of modern day entertainment... I know exactly where you are coming from but thats the beauty of smart phones and ever growing technology.. For example when I first got my iphone 3g it was eating battery like candy.. So I fiddled with the settings, turned auto brightness on, I always lock the screen when not in use, turned off unessential push notifications, and I keep it on my car charger when I'm driving and my battery life has quadrupled.. You do realize that adopting this screen and just having the hardware shut off unused pixels does two things.. One if sony has a distribution deal with the manufacturer they can take and use these screens in any of their devices driving costs down and they have the flexibility to use the appropriate resolution for the application... Don't you all know better then to doubt sony's eerie foresight into technology??? This screen will be the standard in 2-3 years....
At zireno, if I can find the article I will link you but there is a battery technology coming into consumer availability that is nearly 50% more efficient then litium ion batteries and they are just as compact.. You are just speculating, sony will get this right....

Actually it was in 2008 that sony and nintendo switched methods of tracking.. Not trying to hate but trying to be honest.. Regardless sony has been the comeback kid and are proving why they dominated two generations of console gaming... Can't argue that...

Actually raztad in this day in age it's is totally possible to know exact sales numbers.. All stores use UPC's which are universal product codes. Every time a ps3 is purchased the upc is scanned and the computer tallies that sale. Those sales records are kept by every store and stores like best buy voluntarily give those results to companies like sony so they can determine how many more units to ship... Trust me with todays technology tracking the sales of a piece of hardware is very ...
Sony doesn't track shipped to retailers, sony tracks sold through to customers so the 41 million that sony has reported is units sold period. End of discussion...
You act like you all don't get anything.. You have that on demand video service and you get amazing things like the special edition gran turismo 5(which we dont get) Europe has recieved alot great stuff.. Remember that playstation room even that traveled europe and gave people the chance to play games like gran turismo 5, move titles, little big planet2, killzone3? Sony will never abandon the controller.. If move is successful then it just means we will see better games.. Nintendo didnt win anything but the capital to keep their doors open.. After the mediocre sales of the 64 and the abismal sales of the gamecube nintendos future was bleak.. Having the success they have with the wii only allows them to keep their doors open.. They haven't forced either of the other consoles out of this generation so they haven't won... Logic fail.
