My slim has never overheated and shut iteself off. So I dont know how they got those results.. My older launch 60g was really prone to overheating this past year because of how much dirt had accumulated inside of the machine.. I took it apart and cleaned it all out and it made a big difference..
I know girls that love to play games like grand theft auto and modern warfare, the author of this title is in a sense stereotyping her own gender by generalizing the types of games "they" like.. Girl gamers are like any gamer, they play and love the games that appeal to their own sense of being not what everyone else says they should like.. Period. I was excited to try this game because it looked great but after playing it I can say with all honesty that it was "meh". Combat was very uninspired. Using the flashlight as a tool to defeat your enemies intially was cool but wore thin very very quickly, as did the flares. even though the lighting was fantastic it just wasn't enough to carry the game. Then the mechanic of finding notes littered throughout the environment which gives you snippets of the future failed in building ...
I fully agree but I feel the only reason nintendo was succesful in pushing the motion tech is because its not optional. So you combine loved nintendo franchises with mandatory motion controls and of course motion controls took off. Despite the limited and sometimes poor operation of the motion on wii it still managed to sell 60 million. Sony released the eyetoy but being a periphereal seriously hurt it's chances of being a hit. Hell I bought a 4 gig at walmart for like 9 bucks.. I dont know why you would need more then a few gigs but if you want 16 gigs I guess 30 bucks is a good deal.

Warhawk was and is the only game to this day that has consumed 500 hours of my life.. I played that game day and freaking nite and I loved every freaking hectic second of it.. One of the best online games of this entire generation..
Deus Ex looks cool but as far as my tops 5 its not that high.. I have to many with twisted metal and metroid other m and a new dokey kong game and bulletstorm and fallout.. It was hard to narrow down but my top 5 have me salivating..

Unffortunately your syptoms are in regards to overheating but like I discovered with my launch 60g its because you probably have a large amount of dust built up inside the unit. I took mine apart and cleaned it all out but I wouldnt reccomend doing that. I actually screwed up my blu ray drive when I did it. What you should do is get some compressed air and try your best to blow the system out via the vents. Also take your hard drive out and blow some air through there.. If it doesnt help you ...
