Wii U sold 400,000 week one in North America. The Wii sold 600,000 week one in North America. Both at the holiday. If Switch sells 500,000 week one during March then that would be huge as it is not the holiday and it outsold Wii U and almost sold as much as Wii. That is my estimate.
I visited the site and stumbled on this bit of information on the Mario Odyssey page:

So awesome. Only the third Nintendo console to do so and the first home console. DS and Game Boy are region free.
Pro Controller is said to have HD Rumble. Worth the price IMO. Also it has IR sensors and motion control. Scans Amiibo for those who collect as well. It was just FCC approved yesterday, that's why you couldn't pre-order.
N64 at least. And this Nintendo fan absolutely adored Nintendo when 32 million was sold. I don't need 99,999,999 other people buying something if it's awesome i'll enjoy it. I want Nintendo to make profit of course but I want Nintendo to deliver a library like N64 and GameCube combined.
They will ship more. They underestimated demand but that estimate was obviously a while ago and they were probably being realistic after Wii U. But i'm sure they are pleased with early demand. Japan is really demanding Switch. We'll hear more soon. I know a retailer in New York who is saying March 6th availability. So maybe that's when more will be available.
Maybe, but Switch users have till fall to complain. If it's bad.
