I can't believe Nintendo was this conservative about the demand for the NES Classic. I thought they would ship like 5 million worldwide last fall. LOL
I'm like the biggest Nintendo fan and I don't even own one because I wasn't going to spend $200 for one.
The NX was announced in Spring 2015 by Mr. Iwata. 2015 at least had Splatoon and Super Mario Maker to help Wii U sales but NX was getting heavy speculation and rumors almost immediately that it was impossible to sell millions upon millions of consoles. In 2016, that speculation was literally everyday and NX was rumored in an almost countdown fashion for E3. When Nintendo skipped it's E3 reveal it was a countdown to fall. Switch was revealed October 2016. Now who would buy a $300 console t...
I would buy another (Mario) in Super Mario Sunshine Amiibo and (Luigi) in Luigi's Mansion Amiibo but they are not available...lol.
Will the Switch or even PS4 still be out by the time this shiny new vaporware releases? Don't hold your breath.
Yes. Unless they get some serious exclusives coming ASAP.
Well it's awesome interest has risen since the reveal.
Now over 100 titles and I see No More Heroes! :)
Lets pretend like Nintendo didn't announce the then named NX in spring 2015. So why would anyone by a $300 Wii U after that announcement unless they are a gaming collector or serious Nintendo fan?
Other than Nintendo sales in Japan, I wouldn't think they should worry when they could afford a $50 price cut if things get tense. Nintendo and Sony can co-exist. Scorpio priced over $450.00 will make Sony executives do high fives.
If anything, expect the prices to rise. Collectors items now. Including the Wii U version of BOTW. Anyone who buys it and never opens it will get hundreds for it in years to come. $700 at least for unopened Wii U in 3 years.
Um, someone has to adopt early so you can enjoy it years later. *wink*
@captainexplosion
Why not play it on Switch? Yes, I own a PS4 but someone has to support third party on Switch. I will play it on the go as well. There are many more but I named the stand outs until I see more gameplay from games like Project Octopath Traveler.
Super Mario Sunshine is awesome. FLUDD is my favorite Mario power up outside the Super Leaf. The rocket and turbo nozzles are epic. Super Mario Sunshine is a 96/100 in my book.
Pokemon Sun and Moon 14.69 million good lawd.
Won't be any death comments or hardly any comments on this article. Lol
What an awesome off screen Zelda pic. Beautiful.
Every console is made of plastic unless you want a burning hot oven in your living room.
Can we get more Switch love Square? ;p
Well we should note that GameCube and Wii was sold at a profit at launch. But Wii U was sold at a loss. So I think you should be happy. Why? Wii U hardly saw price cuts because when they finally made a profit they never let it go. Since they will profit from the start, Switch will most likely get down to $199.99 at some point.
Really nice how the Joy Grip controller stands up on its own.
