Games sell systems. Sony and Nintendo stay committed to creating quality exclusives. Looking at both their history's you can see why they have sold a gazillion amount of systems.

They are always working on new systems so this is a given..but I don't think it will be releasing anytime in the next three years or so. A 3DS XL still costs $199.99. The Switch is only $100 more. Why not just make a smaller version of the Switch for $199-$249?. Any new system will launch around at least $200 these days whether handheld or not.

A Game Boy Classic Mini makes more sense as that would sell from nostalgia alone.

It's only 1 year old and 5 months....2? It came out in 2017. :)

Interesting! :)

Betting against Nintendo is foolish. :)

I agree completely. :)

Plus, they could of at least launched the 3DS with this game back in 2011. Then I would have bought it. Now it just feels like a troll to be honest...lol.

Kids will probably enjoy it as the roster has iconic characters at least. The game play doesn't look that deep though as I see no boosts, special items, etc.

I adore my Switch. Some Nintendo consoles I simply like (the Wii, Wii U, DS, 3DS) and others I adore (GameCube, Switch, N64, SNES, Game Boy, GBA and NES). Switch is awesome.

* Hilariously I didn't read this article before I commented. And this guy used the word "adore" about his Switch as well....lol.

Well obviously there will be a Direct before Switch Online launches in September. So in a few weeks or early September.

Exactly, I wouldn't even mind the GameCube version with a resolution bump up. I simply want to play it on better screens (the Switch and a big HDTV..lol).

It skipped Wii U properly so it's obviously coming to Switch. This doesn't even make good sense. Mobile phone games have nothing to do with Switch. Pokemon Go was huge yet Pokemon is coming to Switch this year AND next year. So please...lol

Just wait till Pokemon. ;p

Exactly it's kinda Nintendo's "Pro" and "One X"..........there is a blurred line but it counts as 8.The One X is the most powerful yet it counts as 8 as well. Not one gaming publication has ever referred to Switch as generation 9. Not Edge, IGN, Gamespot, etc....

Thanks! I think they are adding new things to these older NES games like online in some cases. I'm guessing the Joy-Con can be used as the "light gun". Maybe just maybe they make a cool new official NES light gun you can attach the Joy-Con to. Most likely third party will.

It really is. I think it's a 2D masterpiece: 10.

I never played this game even though NES was my first console. Is it good?

The most hyped for me was Mario Kart 8 and it surpassed all expectations. I have now bought the game twice and still play it (as in I will literally play it today and still excited to play it). The most hours I have ever pumped into a video game in my history of playing so far. Back in the day as a kid it was Super Mario Bros. 3. I couldn't even believe it was real until it was in my hands..lol. The Wizard movie also had me hyped for it.

Wow, it really is a successful new IP. It might get to over 500,000 sales in Japan alone.

Why not both new DLC courses for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and eventually a Mario Kart 9 for Switch? I have come to the conclusion that I will never stop playing Mario Kart 8 (lol). I love the game and have bought it twice (Wii U and Switch) and would buy it again if I ever lost a copy. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe should get more DLC as the game is like over 10 million sold by now (9.22 million at the end of April).

Mario Kart 9 will probably end up doing a joint release with Switch and...
