You know how lame that sounds after 5 years on the market. I heard that excuse since the first year and if you believed it MS would be broke by how many times they've been accused.
Money only goes so far, it won't keep consumers coming back and playing the games and putting the time into XBL.
I just can't believe they bought every bit of their praise.
I got distracted by the Cos Play going on in the background.. :/
Both have enough install base that neither can be ignored by developers so I don't care.
Just bring me good games. I've already got my monies worth out of both my PS3 and 360..
I just do my best to steer clear of GFWL.
Steam or nothing.
Yup, PS3 is still ahead WW when it comes to sales so I wouldn't pop any champagne. The holidays should be interesting however. Going to really depend on how well Kinect is received.
And that still doesn't make them any less sorry. The 360 just doesn't get the Japanese love.
Day one purchase! Got to play some of this and it's excellent fun.
"I think that all the bad press about Kinect so far is unjustified. For me, it works. The problem at the moment is with the games."
That has been my experience and thoughts on it as well. The tech is there but the games need to come along more.
I so want a 3D TV but the size and cost are just not there for me yet. To play GT5 and KZ3 in 3D sounds like something I would enjoy!!!
If it plays like Time Crisis demo then no way.. I will take the DS3 as well but I will still take it for a spin with my Move's.
Fable 3 on PC has no release date and looks like it won't be hitting until next year.
I'm not waiting till next year to play a game like Fable 3. I will get it on my 360 and enjoy it this holiday. I don't think the differences are going to be anything to make a fuss over. Getting it cheaper is a nice incentive to PC only games who have to wait.
Looking forward to it.. I thought this was a 360 exclusive.. I guess not.. So I guess we are done for exclusives this year and next for the core gamers.. Hope MS announces something.
Have you seen Bioshock Infinite? Yes, it's using the latest engine tech and it's tweeked but it is UE none-the-less.. Looks fantastic.
Did you see the Castelevania comparison? PS3 Won.
5 years and the PS3 and 360 are really starting to pull neck in neck when it comes to multiplatform in my opinion.
It's just not that big of deal what this senator says or thinks..
We gamers know there is no replacement for a controller.
These motion things are alternatives, not replacements.
Let the casuals wave, flail, jump around, waggle, etc and who knows maybe us core gamers will have a little fun as a distraction from what we are used too. I'm already doing that with Move.
These launch games are targeted at the casuals and s...
you sound like you took personal offense to this thus the reason you went way off topic. Was it because she wanted Kinect or is it because you feel a special connection to your controller? I'm just saying..
There is a bunch of Eurogamer videos from their Expo. Lots of video of both player and game and you can see for yourself.
MS has given out beta kits to the media and customers but they are all under an embargo. They are calling them beta kits so not sure how far off from final retail they are.
To be fair to Rare this is all from just 1 interview. All the sites take one interview and then break it up to examine and flame out on every little piece of it.
So it seems like this is constant sales pitches from them it is really just gaming journalism playing you.
Yeah, the numbers just don't add up. I agree.
But if you just read the title it seems a lot more harsh then if you actually hear his explanation about the action of a button press vs. doing a full body hurdle where you are actually jumping.
I also played it at Macy's and it wasn't lag-errific.
What game did you play?
Agreed with you guys. Not only have they been on tour with Kinect, they've been at every major gaming convention and MANY members of XBL have beta kits. This is speaking specifically about the software and I believe even the beta testers have Ricochet, Kinect Sports and Joy Ride.
Maybe GI isn't as important as they think they are..
