Sorry Xbox. The buzz and demand is far more present for the PS5.

Sure there may be a few that get an Xbox just to have something but for the majority scarcity isn't going to make them want a PS5 any less.

Also while there won't be walking into a shop and buying a PS5 over the counter this year we are going to see another big wave of preorders open soon

I cant believe CoD is still getting away with this and those hitboxes. You don't even need to hit a guy to one shot him.

Gamestop here didn't take any preorders before Wednesday, or so they were telling some. Stores had an unauthorised list for regulars they took deposits for and planned to transfer over when the preorders went live. Those regulars expected to be at the front of the list but the staff didn't bank on preorders going live at midnight while the store was closed. So those who preordered through the site jumped up past those who have money paid off for the best part of the year.

If this had been the first time 343i had let me down I'd feel the same but they've never impressed me, So no.

Lacklustre studio in charge of a property they arent qualified to handle

There won't be any walking into a store and picking one up off a shelf this year but there's definitely going to be more available for pre orders soon as stores figure out their allotments

Excellent point. I doubt they'll close down before the launch of these systems but I wouldnt put any faith or money in a business circling the drain like them.

I've been telling customers and friends this the last few days. Stores that did take orders played it very safe (with the exception of gamestop) they took only what they could confidently cover but for now they do not know their exact allocation. As that information is given to them over the next few days they'll open preorders again to cover the remaining units.
But seriously Gamestop made a mess of theirs and I cant recommend trying with them

Unfortunately he'll be trying nothing new on a console with no new games 😂

Had to be done Sorry, but not really

Yeah I call their bluff on this too! If a stores allocation is set to 100 and Microsofts penalise the business by only giving them 90, Thats only going to devastate the consumer. Theres fuck all margin of profit on consoles anyway so the business in question doesn't stand to lose anything. Just cause an argument with the disappointed customer.

Retailers played it safe. They took in a handful of orders they were confident they could cover. As they get their designated allocations they'll take more orders. Likely after this weekend

I think you're going to be disappointed buddy.

Looks like they've already snagged the top spot regardless of what you think of them

As long as God of War releases before November 12th 2021 it IS coming in the first year. And since they announced it as 2021 that leaves a significant window for that statement to be true

For the PS2 and PS4 I remember picking games at launch just for the sake of having something.

In fairness to the PS3 it gave me Motorstorm and Resistance both of which I couldn't wait for and remained favourites to this day.

I cant wait for Demons Souls and Miles Morales now though

Games are coming in a stable lot too. Hitman and Resi 8 are only a few months away. Dont expect Ratchet and a few others to be far behind

Sorry Mono. I meant to reply to Chaos above you

Spoilsports. Nothing more

Nor me! I bagged my order and paid for it in full. Most of all I'm extremely excited.

I feel bad for the many struggling and worrying about it though

But Pete no street date was broken! Nobody physically got a console. They got a place on a supply list. Some places have even made a preliminary list months ago. Theres nothing can be done about it really

Gamestop here are selling "PS5 queue orders"
So many people think they're getting one with it but the list is endless. They'll just keep letting people buy into the list. Most probably won't see their turn until 2021. They need to market that more clearly. I'd hate to be working there this Christmas 😬

Sony can't really control what other businesses do though. Gamestop Walmart, amazon, symths and so on. Ultimately decide when they want to take orders.

Sonys own page doesn't go live until Friday
